Default question for sk8er bois

I was walking into town today and at the bottom of the hill between my house and the town centre is a skate board park with some ramps and half pipes for the skate boarders. Surrounding the park is a wall (about 4 feet high) and on top of the wall are railings which go up to about 15 feet high. Whenever I walk past, if there are any sk8ers, I'll watch as I'm walking to see if theyre any good and if they can pull off anything impressive in the time it takes me to walk past. So today these two sk8er dudes are hanging around outside the park jumping off steps, then all of a sudden one of them skates towards the wall, jumps...and sort of just splats himself against the wall. It was really rubbish. He must have only got about 6 inches off the ground. The weird thing was, it looked like he meant to do it, and he didnt even show any shame in having done it. So my question is, is this a proper sk8board move, or what? Thanks

DP

Some skaters do that. It's like Parkour.
Where I hang out, people jump off 10 foot high walls on skateboards and just fall onto the ground. It hurts them but they still do it. It's seen as fun. I couldnt cuz i can barely even skate. lol.

He was just talking about boys though and I've never seen any girls do it. Sorry! =D

Parkour = freerunning, right? Like in the music video to David Guetta (Love Don't Let Me Go) ?
