Default How would you stay awake for 7 days

After Shattered some friends and I were discussing how and if we could stay awake for that period of time. Most of us are mothers so obviously had plenty of practice when our children were young.

Its quite an achievement. However my best friend reckons I would have no trouble. All they would have to do would be to repeat BB2. As she said "you could stay awake for ages then". Think she might be right.

Any other ideas for staying awake.

Mmmm I am not sure but I certainly didnt have a problem last night! I couldnt get to sleep AT ALL, i got an hour between 11 and 12 and then didnt get to sleep again until 6.30!! To top it all I had a history exam at 8.30!!

I dunno, I think that just keeping busy all the time, trying to do something. Just keep talking to people and dont stop! That would be what would keep me awake, I think it would be virtually impossible if i was on my own!

I love sleeping so much, I'd have great difficulty staying awake. I really admired the contestants of Shattered - I certainly couldn't have done what they did!

Well Busy Bee, I know how I'd LIKE to stay awake for 7 days, and I suspect you wouldn't be averse to utilising the same idea!!

Sadly, I also know what can keep you awake, and it's rarely anything like I was envisaging above!

These are my usual reasons:

Studying/working late so that your mind is too active.

Knowing you need to get up really early and you just have to get to sleep

Worrying about something

Talking about how you never have a problem going to sleep

Staying at Number 1 son's flat on a futon mattress which is ancient and devoid of life

ETC!

Now I wonder how that would be ROB

Unfortunately most things that keep you awake are not very interesting, studying, worrying, illness etc. etc
