Default Rhydian\'s Song Choice Has Been Changed Twice Already

On Rhydian's new Myspace video blog he mentioned that he was suppose to be singing Bridge Over Troubled Water this week but Simon and the producers changed it. And now the word is that they've also changed his second choice too!

What is the point in the other mentors if Simon just gets to change everything?

How annoying. I think they should be allowed to sing what they bl**dy well like. They as singers know what they are comfortable with.

Rydian should of saved 'I will do anything for love' for this week. He did sing that in the first week didn't?

Yeah that was his first live performance, with the roses been thrown at him.

He's meant to be happy with the song he's got now though, so hopefully it will be a great performance.

Why even bother with any of the mentors? It's just Simon's show and the others are just lucky to be apart of his little world .What blatant manipulation!

Maybe Rhydian couldn't do the songs justice, so they have been changing them round? I cannot see him pulling off Bridge over troubled waters tbh.

I think they should be able to choose what they want, then the singing on a saturday would be better.

I agree, they know themselves better than their mentors.I think most of the song choices this year really haven't suited the acts.

I think I'd prefer if they brought back Pop Idol.

I agree in fact I started a thread saying they should go back to that kind of format.

X Factor has a superior format to that of Pop Idol which is reflected in the ratings until this year. The only problem with this years lot is the lack of talent. Out of the final 12, there were only really 3 people that were actually talented- Rhydian, Beverley, Niki.

Instead of the mentors giving them a song to sing, they should do a short list of about 5 then call each act into a meeting, where they narrow the songs down to 2 possibilities, then they make a joint decision on the actual song rather than just "here is a song, sing it on Saturday".

Actually I guess he would rock every song he can have so I'm too worried about his performance on saturday.
