Marc cheated on girlfriend with barmaid
Quote:
Marc cheated on girlfriend with barmaid A PRETTY barmaid told yesterday how love rat Marc Bannerman cheated on his girlfriend with her BEFORE he went on I'm A Celebrity.
Pint puller Meg Raphael had drunken sex with the exEastEnders romeo while his long-term lover Sarah Matravers was miles away at their home.
But despite his bedroom boasts to her, disappointed Meg soon discovered his trouser-snake was NOT the biggest beast in the jungle. And just like in the ITV1 show, he failed to last very long.
As Bannerman flew into Britain last night to beg forgiveness from his "Missus" for his camp romps with Cerys Matthews, GP's daughter Meg said:
"I thought Marc was gorgeous but the sex was such a let-down. I wasn't satisfied."
Meg, 25, also told the News of the World how cheating Bannerman, 34:
BRAGGED about bedding a string of beautiful women
SEDUCED her with the same chat-up lines he used on Cerys, 38, in the jungle
BOASTED of his sexual prowess as he tried to bed her, and
LIED he was visiting his family when he was with unsuspecting Sarah.
Angry Meg said: "I had no idea he was seeing someone else—he told me he was single. I only realised when I saw Sarah talking about his flirting with Cerys in the jungle.
"And when I saw how he was with Cerys I thought, ‘That's exactly how he was with me.'"
Meg first met Bannerman when he was in the play Soap at Northampton's Royal Theatre, and the cast came into her pub for after-show drinks.
She recalled: "I thought he was gorgeous, I fancied him straight away.
Naughty
"He talked to me in exactly same way as with Cerys in the jungle—all flirty touches and eye-contact. I was immediately taken in by his charm just like she was."
But nothing happened until a week later when Marc, who played Gianni di Marco in EastEnders, went to the pub with soap pal Lucy Speed, who played Natalie Evans.
He flirted outrageously with Meg, even telling her: "You look like a naughty girl to me."
That night she invited him to her flat, and recalled: "When we got back, he was still very charming and told me, ‘You're so sexy, I love your body.'
"I poured us a glass of wine each and we sat on the sofa. He boasted he owned a house in London's Muswell Hill and he'd bought himself a Ferrari.
"He even invited me down to London to stay with him and said he'd take me out.
"He gave me the impression he was a very experienced lover, a ladies' man. He was very cocksure and told me he'd had many beautiful girlfriends.
"We got some more wine then he kissed me passionately. His lips were really soft and I couldn't believe my luck. There was this gorgeous TV star kissing me in my kitchen."
Bannerman then led her to her bedroom to demonstrate his prowess.
Meg said: "I took off his clothes off until he was kneeling on my bed in just a pair of white Calvin Klein boxer shorts.
"He had a really nice body, a great physique, and I was really excited. Then I slipped off my clothes and led there in just a black thong.
"Marc loved my 36D boobs. He complimented them a lot and paid them particular attention. I thought I was in for a real treat and we were getting quite intimate.
"But when I took his boxers off I could barely hide my disappointment.
"We were both very drunk but three minutes later it was all over. The earth didn't move or shake for me—it didn't even tremble."
They woke at 11am and Bannerman rushed off, saying he was late for a matinee. Meg said: "Even though it wasn't that great, I still went into work with a big smile on my face because I thought he liked me and the sex would get better."
And a few days later the starstruck barmaid granted the actor an encore. But the action replay was even poorer.
She said: "We were both sober and it was still disappointing. There just wasn't that spark between us. If anything it was worse—and it was over just as quickly.
"I remember thinking it was such a shame because he was such a sweet guy and I really liked him.
"Everything was there—he had the looks, the body, all the talk and the charisma—but the sex was just a let-down. He was a pedestrian lover and not animal-like at all. There was no passion."
Devastated
Marc told her he went back to London at the weekends to see his family. But he was really sneaking home to actress Sarah, 32, who he'd starred with in Footballers' Wives: Extra Time.
And after a couple of weeks their fling turned sour when Meg went to see him in Soap. Afterwards in the pub she laughed about his Aussie accent in the play—and got the sack.
She explained: "The landlady got rid of me because I jokingly said Marc had a terrible Australian accent, which was part of his role in Soap.
"She said it had upset him and looked bad because they wanted the theatre crowd to continue drinking in the pub.
"I was devastated and asked Marc to intervene and tell them to give me my job back. But things had already cooled between us and he didn't do anything about it." Meg, who met Marc in March, didn't hear from him again until just six weeks before he went into the jungle.
He asked if he could stay at her flat when he was next in Northampton but she ignored the message.
For the last couple of weeks she has been watching him flirting with ex-Catatonia singer Cerys on I'm A Celebrity—and is not impressed.
She said he was "disrespectful" to Sarah, who flew back to Australia after his exit without seeing him. In a TV interview last week Marc admitted he was in love with both her and recently divorced Cerys.
But Meg said: "I don't think he's being genuine when he says he loves Cerys. He doesn't love her, he just loves the attention.
"Anything new turns his head. And Cerys will find the sex disappointing if she ends up with him.
"If they do get together, I hope that he changes his ways. If it was me, I just couldn't trust him."
