\'Sexist\' Rodney Marsh is shown the red card by I\'m A Celebrity viewers
Quote:
'Sexist' Rodney Marsh is shown the red card by I'm A Celebrity viewers Football pundit Rodney Marsh became the fifth jungle evictee on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! on Sunday night.
The former Manchester City player, 63, said he had no regrets over his behaviour in the Australian Bush, including his furious rows with Lynne Franks and 'sexist' jokes.
Despite predictions ex-Changing Rooms designer Anna Ryder Richardson would get the boot, Rodney narrowly beat former Hollyoaks beauty Gemma Atkinson to leave the jungle.
While many of his former evictees would have loved to stay in the jungle, Rodney admitted he had had enough of living with people he didn't like, during his post-exit interview with presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.
He said: "I acted like a five year old kid sometimes. I don't apologise. What you see is what you get."
He made no attempt to hide his disdain for the new-age loving PR guru during his time in the jungle, and refused to say goodbye to her when she was voted out on Friday.
During his interview, Rodney said: "I despise everything she stands for. I think it is fair to say that she irritated me."
He also admitted the foundation of the romance between Marc Bannerman and Cerys Matthews seemed to start from the beginning of the show. He noticed their chemistry during the pre-jungle meeting in Queensland.
He explained: "From the first second that they met, you could tell there was something between them.
"Even at the greeting party they were outside having coffee together. They just seemed to get on fantastically, they just connected."
Although Rodney was voted out, the camp had to make way for a new addition - Kahli the goat.
The campmates were told to use the creature's milk to make a 'Bush latte'
Earlier on in Sunday's show, camp favourite Christopher Biggins overcame his fear of 'creepy crawlies' to win seven stars for camp.
The panto king was locked in a confined space with huge spiders, but managed to keep going by squawking.
Meanwhile, Cerys still appeared to be smitten with Marc and was buoyant about the prospect of him returning "like a knight" to rekindle their romance.
In a conversation with Anna, the pair joked of it being the "biggest love story since Romeo and Juliet".
But Cerys admitted: "My mum and dad will be squirming." She added: "At least I have another 24 hours for Marc to get here."
Later she said: 'When I did this I didn't expect it to turn out the way it has. I didn't think that you could get so intense in such a short small amount of time with anybody."
Then Cerys whispered excitedly: "He likes children."
Speaking to camera later, Cerys pleaded with the public to stay in until Marc, who has been in London trying to sort out his shattered love live with girlfriend Sarah Matravers, returned for her.
