Girls at war in £5m slum
Quote:
Girls at war in £5m slum Warring X Factor finalists have turned their plush mansion into a filthy SLUM as they do battle over the dishes.
The once pristine £5million north London home where they stay has become the scene of blazing rows amid mouldy saucepans and a grimy loo.
And there have been bust-ups about items going missing from the fridge.
Fussy Nicki Evans, 34, ranted at Charlie Mole from Hope for using her cooking set.
Furious Charlie, 23, and bandmate Emily Biggs, 17, got revenge by hiding her beloved saucepans in the loo.
Conditions are now so bad that some contestants fear bugs will leave them too ill to continue on ITV1's hit show.
A source revealed: "That place is a house of horrors. You wouldn't expect the Sex Pistols' trailer to be like that, let alone a home supposedly fit for pop stars of the future.
"With so much bacteria and dirt it's no wonder people are getting coughs and colds. It's more like a pigsty than a mansion."
The grime has deepened over the last month even though a cleaner visits once aweek. A mouldy pan was left by the cooker for days after no one owned up to using it.
And one unnamed contestant has caused disgust by regularly failing to clean up properly after visiting the toilet. The kitchen fridge - where the wannabes each have their own shelves - is also the focus for rows. Our insider said: Food has gone missing and everyone's getting fed-up and suspicious.
"Then there was the huge row between Nicki and Charlie. The atmosphere has been foul."
The mansion has been dogged by rows since the finalists moved in.
We revealed how Hope were moved into different bedrooms after a series of spats. Charlie was branded a "superbitch" because of her cruel remarks. Emily was dubbed a "Barbie doll" only interested in make-up.
Phoebe Brown, 16, was left sobbing in the toilet after the others ganged up on her. And Raquelle Gracie, 20, was branded a primadonna.
An X Factor spokesman said: "If they want to live in a dump it's up to them. We're aware there has been tension. They have to tidy up their own stuff and some are much better than others. They are always moaning at each other about the state of the house.
"Researchers live with them and tell them to take responsibility. But it's not their job to clear up other's mess."
