Default BB3 / World Cup Clash

Latest on forthcomming BB2002 from the Daily Star 16/4/2002

On a personl note, I will be avoiding the World Cup, as I have done with all the others.

It usually means we loose all our regular TV shows because we must alll be sports mad .

Well,, my view on this is simple.

The Big Brother rules state there must be no contact with the outside world. The contestants know that when they agree to take part, so ........ NO TV!

If they want to watch the World Cup, they can stay at home and do it!

If you read the article, it is the BB production crew asking for this, not the housemates

Ooh, that's me told off!!

Sorry Sticks. I did realise that it was the production crew who allegedly (well, it is the Star) were asking for the TV, but I was only looking at it from the contestants' perspective.

I still don't see how Big Brother could justify providing a TV set in the house this time round, when they refused Bubble and Dean's request (quite rightly) during BB2.

Even if they considered locating a TV set somewhere within the camera runs, I fear that the housemates would either be able to hear it, or at least hear the cheers or groans of the crew.

Given the source of this story, and the fact that it is based on information provided from our famous 'insider', I'm not convinced there's any serious consideration being given to having a TV in the house.

Surely the crew can video the matches and watch them later, just like millions of other people who'll also be at work when they're being played?

I agree that loads of other people will be at work when the football is on, so I have little sympathy for the crew - as Sister Sledge from Sm:tv live would say "Deal with it!!"

I wonder if they might show one of the matches as a "reward" for a task?? The onlt other thin I can remember being shown was in BB1 when Darren got to see pictures of one of his children's birthday party - which was a much more personal event of course.

That is a good idea kaphc actually - its not breaking the rules cause it could be restricted time and they would only be allowed one channel - World Cup!

Another good idea Big Sister If they get loadsa e-mails, they would get the hint that a lot of people agree with it and perhaps wold let it happen -
LEE - dont you and that Helen from BBLB sometimes mail each other, maybe you could slip in a word?!
