Brit to be grilled by Fed's lawyers

BRITNEY SPEARS is to be grilled by ex-husband KEVIN FEDERLINE’S lawyers in their ongoing child custody dispute today.

The troubled pop star is expected to testify under oath at the Los Angeles offices of K-Fed's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, at 10am LA time.

Britney will be accompanied to the deposition by her lawyers Anne Kiley and Tara Scott, who will be present to raise any objections they may have to Kaplan's line of questioning.

He is expected to quiz Brit on a variety of tricky topics, including her past drug and alcohol use, her alleged failure to follow court orders and spousal support, relating to the custody of sons SEAN PRESTON, two, and JAYDEN JAMES, one.

“A deposition can be emotionally draining, because Kevin’s lawyer can ask very personal questions about her relationship with her kids - and she’ll be under oath,” said L.A. family lawyer Lynn Soodik.

Last month, Britney and Kevin agreed to share time with the children on Christmas, but a final custody arrangement remains unresolved.

Kevin currently has primary physical custody, with supervised visitation for Brit.

The deposition, which could take several days, is in itself a small victory for Kevin.

According to TMZ.com, Kaplan has been calling for Britney to testify for almost a year.

K-Fed’s legal team have already carried out depositions on other key witnesses, including Britney’s pal ALI SIMS, former manager LARRY RUDOLPH, and former bodyguard DAIMON SHIPPEN.
