A new reality show from the BBC will teach 48 "flop idols" how to perform in front of millions of viewers.
Contestants on Can't Sing Singers will be whittled down over six weeks as four professional singing coaches put them through their paces.
Viewers will then vote for a winner at a live final over Christmas.
The Sun says the audition process, which begins in June, will be the same as Pop Idol.
A BBC spokesman said: "We will not be taking the mickey out of these contestants. It will be a totally positive experience for them."
