David Moyes believes £11million record signing Ayegbeni Yakubu is proof of Everton's changing face.

The Everton boss may still major on players with the kind of work ethic that can make the laidback striker seem work-shy.

But the dour days of grinding it out are becoming a memory at Goodison with Moyes declaring: "Yakubu may well be a luxury item, but one we can afford. Most of the players here have had to be able to play just about everywhere.
