I know a few friends who've stayed there, and it's very nice apparently. Looks a bit too posh for me lol

I've stayed there when I came to London a few months ago. It was me and 2 friends, and we'd ordered 1 double bed and 1 single bed room. We were then going to play cards to see who had to sleep on the floor. When we got to the room they had only booked us into a room with one double bed. So I went down to complain and they were pretty good with sorting me out, and gave me the room that I originally booked.

The rooms are as nice as you can imagine, the bathroom was massive. The one thing that was really annoying was they had this tray in the room as you arrived with things on it, such as cookies, drinks, champange and other really nice food. My friends thought it came with the room, as did I - so we ate all the things on the tray -- only to find you get charged at the end of your stay for all things taken off the tray! So be careful about that, also because they actually rip us off for the stuff, like £4 for a pack of cookies etc.

The bar was really good, and there were lots of staff around giving us table service at all times. The restaurant was expensive, but the food was good enough quality where I didn't mind about cost too much. I think I had lamb shank one night, and some duck dish the other and they were both insanely nice

Have a nice time if you end up going there

- Mark

I have stayed at the Dorchester and it is lovely. Our room overlooked Hyde Park which was lovely. The rooms are very nice indeedy.

A big must is the spa, if you are going to the expense of staying at the Dorchester you really do have to indulge and try the Spa out, I had a back, neck and arm massage and it was wonderful, well worth every penny.

The service feels very personal (should be for what you pay) and the staff are always there without suffocating you to much. Mark is so right though, be very careful for the hidden charges, you could end up paying a lot for something very small like a packet of cookies.

It's a bit pricey.

I'm not surprised Sunny's stayed there.

Yeah I've stayed a few times, it was really good but I prefer the Hilton Hotel in Manchester

If you've got the money, go for it!
