Perfume and chocolates or if she drinks or smokes, then a bottle of something she loves or 200 fags are usually well appreciated. My mum likes Opium perfume, but that is well expensive

I'd say jewellery.

Perfume is great, but it runs out eventually. Eventually chocolates or a bottle of wine/champagne will be finished.

But a lovely piece of jewellery will last forever. Either a single item like a pendant or pair of earrings with an amethyst, topaz or cubic zirconia stone, or a matching set of silver pendant, earrings and bracelet will be treasured forever.
