Amy Winehouse has been put on methadone and prescription drugs so that she is well enough to attend the BRIT Awards.
The troubled star is determined to be on top form for Wednesday night's ceremony. She has agreed to perform her single 'Love Is A Losing Game', as well as 'Valerie' with Mark Ronson.
Winehouse was praised for her performances of 'Rehab' and 'You Know I'm No Good' at last Sunday's Grammy Awards, which saw her pick up five prizes.
"Amy would be far too sick if she was made to go through complete cold turkey," a source told the Sunday Mirror. "[Medics] have accepted the important thing at the moment is to get her through the awards shows."
The singer's father Mitch said: "Amy's doing really well and really getting better. There has been a fantastic change."
