Adele is a Brit of a rare diamond

Adele is excited about the Brits because, wait for it, she will be able to wear “proper posh” jewellery.

The Alison Moyet lookalike is looking forward to putting away her cheap and cheerful ice so she can show off some belting bling for the first time.

The South London songstress said: “I’m getting to wear diamonds, real ones. Big ones.

“I’m used to Argos’s Elizabeth Duke range myself.”

The Chasing Pavements star should also make a bit of an effort to settle her stomach before the show.

Adele is to perform during a Mark Ronson medley, with Amy Winehouse and Daniel Merriweather also set to sing with the producer.

But she’s more worried about what will happen when she picks up her Critics Choice award at the bash tomorrow.

She said: “I am really scared about the awards.

“I’m worried I’m gonna fall on my face on the way up to collect the award or something.

“I really can’t wait to do a tune with Mark in his medley, though.”
