Default HD Dvd question

I recently bought a brand new laptop and it has a dvd player
i was wondering if it also plays high devination dvds

i extremely doubt it... they cost £200 upwards

It would have the HD-DVD or Blu-Ray logo on it if it did.

Just on a side note. HD-DVD is now a dead format. Toshiba have pulled the plug on it. Blu-Ray disc is the winner for HD content.
