Default Questions you\'ve always had about Big Brother.

What are the questions you've always had about Big Brother, but never got the change to ask ?

Why does big brother complain so much about housemates discussing nominations?

I thought they went too too far in (8). Punishing the housemates is silly and Im sure it could be done better, a new system perhaps which could sort out that

When it started no one really talked about nominations out of the Diary room from BB1 - 4 anyway. It was just another rule brought in to make life harder in the BB5 house and it stuck

Well I understand that discussing the nominations can spoil it a bit, but big brother really came down on a few housemates in (8) and I thought it was petty really, just my thoughts lol

Also housemates should be able to know more about what is going on in the outside world. I mean, does it really matter? honestly

Yes! Thats part of the fun They don't have a clue whats going on. Anyway, even the slighest hint of BB news could give anything away and ruin the series. What would be the point in having an experience if all they're going to do is laze back and watch TV, play PS2's, use the internet or read the papers?

But those are the 2 most fundamental aspects of BB. Also I would say that BB was much to easy going about breaking nomination rules in BB8, especially compared to every other series (BB7 in particular). And if you were to give them info from the outside worls than that defeats the point of the show ie total seclusion. Thats one of the main downfalls in BB8 was they were given much to much outsied world news suchas in the News Achor task, Charleys fake eviction, Alex, Adele and Thalia entering, ect.

They are opened by a human. Thats his only job! I remeber seeing it on the BBLB feature "Employee of the Week" in BB7.

But it was still an important rule and they were punished. Jade was banned from nominating in BB3 and when Darren's nominations were over heard in BB1, everybody had to nominate again. Sorry for posting so much!

I would not expect any BB news to get back to them lol, that would be silly and spoil the experience. But other news that is going on like a bomb going off or a famous person found dead may interest someone in the house (being a bit morbid here)

Reading papers, PS2, TV or the internet would be pointless like you pointed out, but forcing them to do 2000 piece jigsaw puzzles or make an aircraft out of an airfix model kit maybe funny lmao

Thought like that can preoccupie hms and distract them from the game. People sitting around worrying about bombs abd whatnot wouldn't make for great viewing!

RealBB (C4 forums) Said 20 producers take turns being the voice of big brother/moniters/executive editor ect.

Alogether (Cooks, cleaners for offices ect) there are 300 members of staff per Summer series.

Like I replied to Conor, anything to do with the show should remain hidden but standard news which is going on around the globe could be passed onto them, no harm in that really imo lol

I have only seen (8) and celeb hijack so I cant do comparisons of (7) and before. I must say that I thought they were less than soft imo, thats why I brought it up as a Question

Past punishments have been much harsher, such as having to nominate in front of people, having to nominate 3 people to definetly face the public vote, having your nominations be aired to the house, putting everyone up for eviction, ect.

Well BB5 - CBB4 were all really harsh. That was the 'Evil' period. But I dont think BB7 was much better. It should remain a rule not to hea ANY outside info just to add to the compitition. I don't think the show would be the same if they read them the Headlines from heat at bedtime each night But sometimes, like in BB5 they give fake info to the housemates.

In BB5 in the last week Big Brother set a fake newspaper around claiming 'Big Brother Mole favourite to win series.' This lead to a twist, and a very ood one

lol, big brother wanted to occupy their minds with losing their possible prize fund to Liam, among other things. A bomb would be a bit much I'll grant you. Lucky big brother is not aired right now, I am sure April 1st would be more than jokingly hazardous

Yes but that was in relation to BB which they would have been constantly thinking about anyway and makes great viewing.

Yeah pretty much, it was the strictest series yet in regard to rule breaking, which is best in IMHO.
