I have work out how to tell the gender of the first housemate to enter the Big Brother House -

BB1 - Sada - Girl
BB2 - Bubble - Boy
BB3 - Alex -Boy
BB4 - Anouska -Girl
BB5 - Marco - Boy
BB6 - Derek - Boy
BB7 - Bonnie - Girl
BB8 - Samanda Girl

So it goes - Girl, Boy, Boy the only exception to this rule is BB8 and we can put this down to the fact that it was an all female house

also if we look at the Celebrity version it goes

CBB1 - Anthea
CBB2 - Goldie
CBB3 - John
CBB4 - Chantelle
CBB5 - Jermaine
BBCH - John

And agian it is the Girl, Boy, Boy partern

Leading to the conclusion that the gender of the first housemate to enter the BB9 house is Male

I think the first housemate to enter will be male because of last years stupid all female twist.

Same. I'd never think to figure this stuff out, but I'm thick lol

It's fairly random as they vary the pattern of entry.

It may be boys first, then girls (BB5) or alphabetical (BB4) or no discernable pattern at all (BB7).

And in BB1 I recall the HMs going in in groups. It was up to them who in the group took the first step into the House.

Well the BB1 launch werent live. In BB3 they went in sex groups. I think that in BB6 and BB7 then picked which housemates looked best to go in first. Like with Bonnie and Pete. Then Shabaz complety freaked George out.

The BB1 housemates did go in all a once but the first person to walk through the door was sada

i dont think there is a pattern on purpose i think they pick who is best suited to go in first and then play on how they think each person will click or react as the next comes in... i think BB put more thought into it than for example names out of a hat!
