Default Make Or Break?

Do you think the future of Big Brother UK lies in the hands Of BB9's producers? Do you think this is BB's last chance to truly shine!?

Is This A Make Or Break Situation?

Yes.

Big Brother cannot stand to have a fourth bad series in the space of two years (and whilst most of us on TiBB saw Celebrity Hijack as something of a success, most see it as a flop).

If Big Brother doesn't deliver this year then the public will lose interest in the show - and if that happens then BB is doomed.

I definitely think so...

I already know a few people who are starting to get sick and tired of seeing Big Brother on every year. They've got that attitude where it's "Again??" So I definitely think this is the last chance to shine and catch people's attention.

We need something magnificent.

I have to agree with the previous posts, it's THE year ! The producers have to work like crazy to make a stunning show.

Definitely. Launch night will be a success no matter how bad the series could be, so they have to pull something decent out of the bag to sustain interest for 13 weeks.

I think it is in the hands of the people watching the show and what competition is going to coincide with the airing. 13 weeks is a long time for (9) and people get bored after three weeks unless the housemates do fings which keep us excited

But how do the producers know whats going to happen three weeks into the show, I mean the housemates they pick could be great when during audition process but when placed together in the house the effect could change dramatically, do you understand what I am saying? Dont blame the producers to much and who says that its their last chance. Dont pay attention to what the papers say! The star and the sun are just guessing

If it wasn't for the producers you'd just be sitting watching people talking in a house. Thats some great veiwing... It's the Housemates fault that a series turns out bad, just as much as it is if ithe groups amazing together ala BB5. Also, they are rooting out the fake HM's this year with a much longer, more rigerous audition process.

We're not listening to what the papers say. This is our view, if this series isn't good I think most fans will be done with BB, CBB5 and BB8 were crap series, people won't put up with another crap series and it will loose a huge audience. I know I won't be sticking with it if BB9 is as bad or worse than BB8 and the only thing that could ever get me back is a Big Brother All-Star series.

Without a doubt it's going to be a make or break series. If BB9 doesn't live up to expectations, I can see C4 pulling the plug on it. Drastic improvements need to be made, but I have a funny feeling this series is going to be good.

Where did I say there should not be producers, nevermind the roll eyes Conor I was just making a fair point. Housemates get auditioned probably thousands and when they have got the short list they go into the house one by one. But I am sure you dont need a lesson on that as you have watched (5) All I am saying is the housemates ultimately decide how a show is going to succeed or not. The producers will do their best naturally

That is unrealistic, from what I have seen on this forum articles from newspapers are being talked about so that is proof enough that members are indeed interested on what the papers report even if you are apart from that, dont generalise or you shall include myself and I indeed do pay a little attention at least.

Big brother will proceed if channel 4 make money from it, but at this moment is it just speculation and I speculate that (9) will be good, if you think negatively then fair enough, just feel that way

I feel that this series wuill be good, I enjoyed (8) and could not see too much wrong with it except Chanelle and Ziggy and Charley of course but how are the producers to know that at such an early stage, people should give them a chance. I am sure they know what they are doing I mean they have been doing it long enough and now we are heading towards the ninth series

But most of us watching would find that annoying. Just try watching a new soap for two or three weeks and then suddenly get rid of 6 of them, that just would not work sorry. But it was worth a suggestion I will give you that

Of course we're interested in what the newspapers becuase of the NEWS not their opinions. And its inevitable that you will think the BB9 will be good as you have only watched BBCH and the disastrous BB8. If they're all BB9 has to live up to for you to enjoy then its definetly going to be brilliant for you.

I'm not having a go at you but you talk as if you know. None of on here talk as if we know for sure unless we do not even people that have seen every series or have been on here for years. You should talk with a little bit more respect to people who know much more than you.

BB9 will need to raise the bar, and will indeed determine the future of Big Brother. If this series is a shambles, I for one, will not be watching again. Im going to put my faith in the producers for the last time, and if im not impressed then, I dont know what I would be capable of
