Yes, I went through a whole spell of them for 6 months last year, and then two years before that I had them for eight months. Im glad to say i dont get them to the extreme Iused to, I occassionaly get one. Im so glad I that I dont get them to the extreme that i used to it really did ruin my life for those six months last year.

I have Tetany crisis and it's absolutely annoying and I also have migraines, so when they mix up I want to crush my head against a wall.

I suffered from them massively when I lived on my own but what with everything that went on they have come back with vengeance.

I cant sit still, can read, cant sleep and when I do sleep I wake with startles in the night

I've tried to google this but there doesnt seem to be an explanation of what it is. Is it heightened anxiety?

Quote:
The acute crisis of tetany appears generally on spasmophilic backgrounds, triggered most often by stress and anxiety. Always benign, it can however be quite annoying because of its length. The authors study that crisis successively from an etiological, therapeutical and preventive point of view.

I used to get them all during last summer , when I was dead convinced that the house was being broken in to virtually every night. I guess it links somehow to be being manic depressive.

And when it happens, you better not be alone. You never know what is going to happen.

I had one the other week just before my drama exam. I know it may sound pathetic but I couldn't breathe and couldn't even stand up.

I was fine when I began performing though.

I think I might have had one before?

I was at a school resendential staying at one of those reconstructed Victorian towns and I woke up at about 4am. I saw this weird white thing wlaking closer and closer and it wouldn't go away. I was so **** scared. I was shaking uncontrolably and couldn't even shout out to someone to wake up. Eventually I plucked up the courage and kicked my friends bed above me. He woke up and it dissappeared. One of the weirdest and without a a doubt the scariest momment of my life.

Only advice I can give is sip water. It cools and calms you down.

Surely the valium should work with it being fairly strong? I had accpunture (not worth it lol) hypnotherapy which did actually help, made me alot calmer.
