Chanelle: Charley missed out

Big Brother contestant Charley Uchea missed her shot at fame because she didn't fins the right agent, fellow housemate Chanelle Hayes has reportedly said.

"Love her or hate her, people tuned in to see Charley, but she never made the most of that afterwards," the 20-year-old told the Daily Star.

"You need to find the right agent for you," she told the newspaper. "You have to get on with them and, most importantly, trust that they are going to do what's right for you."

The Big Brother star has been offering her advice to the latest crop of contestants hoping to be propelled into stardom by the show.

"Many people come out and think they are going to be the next Ant or Dec, but you have to be realistic," she apparently said. "I haven't pigeon holed myself and tried loads of stuff like modelling, music, or even launching my own perfume. If you know what you want then go for it. But be open minded and prepare to work hard."

But Chanelle, who is currently launching her pop single I Want It, warned the wannabes not to start acting like a star before they hit the big time.

"Don't become a diva because you never know how long you're going to be famous for," she said. "Keep your friends and family around you - they'll quickly tell you if you're getting a big head."
