What would Sir Alan say? Pictures reveal Apprentice girl’s racy past as Club 18-30 rep

Millions of viewers know her as a hard-nosed businesswoman fighting to land a £100,000 job with Sir Alan Sugar.

As our picture shows, however, bossy Apprentice star Claire Young also knows how to party.

The 28-year-old's attitude, bordering on outright hostility, has upset many fellow contestants on the BBC1 show in which 16 would-be tycoons try to win a contract working for Sir Alan.

But here, the former retail buyer from Wakefield – who is nicknamed The Rottweiler for her ability to go after whatever she wants – can be seen letting her hair down.

Claire, who is the girl in glasses in the main picture, was photographed during the summer of 1998, when she worked as a Club 18-30 holiday rep in the drink-sodden resort of Magaluf on the Spanish island of Majorca. She spent three seasons there.

And she clearly had no problem joining in with the notorious antics – in fact, according to fellow holiday reps, she was often leading the charge.

The picture, taken by a rep at Pasha nightclub, shows the convent-school educated Claire immersing herself in a joint stag and hen party.

One rep said: "She'd do a lot of displays on stage like dirty dancing and cabaret shows. She drank a hell of a lot – we all did, but she loved the job."

Last week viewers saw Claire shout down her team leader, Simon Smith, before being told by Sir Alan: "I don't like people being victimised. You're not that bloody great yourself."

Despite that, it was Simon and not Claire who he told: "You're fired."

Claire's holiday rep friend said: "She often got in trouble with the bosses, generally for not doing things right.

"Everyone out there liked her, although at the beginning she didn't have any friends.

"I think it was because of her attitude. She was very domineering."

An Apprentice spokesman said: "The photograph was taken ten years ago when Claire was a teenager. We have no further comment to make."
