Former Spice Girls star Melanie Brown has outed TV talent show stars Mario and Karina Smirnoff as secret lovers.

Giving her weekly commentary on the hit show on Tuesday night, Mel B said, "People hooked up last season and there are definitely a few couples that are hooking up this season," before trying to get R+B star Mario and his dancing partner to go public about their romance.

She quizzed, "I know you've both kissed; do you want to confirm it or deny it?"

The contestants decided to seal their answer with a kiss - on the cheek, prompting Mel B to snarl, "Boring, where's the tongue action?"

Mario admitted it was "tempting" to tell America the couple is dating.

Mel B signed off by stating, "I think there's a few things going on."
