\'Essex, Drugs & Rock \'n\' Roll\' - Jonathan novel
Quote:
TV push for Big Brother novel
24.04.08 Graeme Neill
Independent publisher Adelita is set to double its output next year after taking its first step into fiction with a novel from “Big Brother” contestant Jonathan Durden. Durden’s semi-autobiographical Essex, Drugs & Rock ’n’ Roll (1st July, £6.99, *p/b) will be promoted with a television ad campaign during this summer’s series of the reality show.
Ten-second ads will run throughout July, paid for by Durden himself. The novel is described by Adelita as a “jet-black comedy” set in the world of the media, and will also be supported by a viral marketing push, national press and poster advertising.
"Adelita Fiction has been launched to complement our non-fiction list of fashion, photography, design and pop culture titles," said Jenny Ross, publisher at Adelita. "With its black humour and exposé of media madness, Essex, Drugs & Rock ’n’ Roll is an exciting first title for us.".....
