Default Not getting excited about BB9!

Okay, i've seen so many threads saying "i can't wait" and "oh, it's gonna be exciting" and "it may be the best series yet"

But to be honest, i can't find myself looking forward to this series after BB8. Sure, it wasn't all bad, but it was a big "let down" for me. And i'm pretty sure, that this time last year the same thing was happening again. Loads of "This will be great" and "it's gonna be the best series yet" and "can't wait for launch night". But i'm finding it hard to fit in when i really can't find this series exciting.

The question is always in my head ("what if it's the same build up and the same down fall").

I just thought i'd post this to see if anyone else is feeling the same, and if anyone can make me feel any different

I feel exactly the same! I'm glad I'm not the only one. I think I got my hopes up too high for BB8, and I wish I hadn't because it was pretty bad in my opinion. =/ I think I've gone off Big Brother for some reason, which probably raises the question as to why I'm on this forum xD but oh well...

I think when you get your hopes up you can be let down. I have no expectations and will just go with the flow and see how it pans out. I am not getting overly excited about it at the moment.

I feel similar. For me the last series I really enjoyed was BB6 which was 3 years ago.

Thank god people agree

And all this "first pic of house" and "ariel shots" aren't exciting me, because it's just the same as what happened last year. Sure, the build up was exciting...but the series was bad.

And i think BBUS was only popular in the UK because of the last series of the UK version. Just my opinion.

I have only got excited over the last 2 days but I am not as excited as I was last year because BB8 was just a let down.

Last year, the producers were basically making out that the new series was going to be fresh, and would be totally different after the "Race Row". And it was to a certain extent.

But what started of as a good series turned and was just a big let down. People were curious to see what was going to happen after the "race row", and thats why they tuned into the Live Launch.

I think (I love these two housemates, but i have to say it...)Emily and Charley did ruin BB8. I thought it started of good, but when Emily said that word, the "Race Row" was not forgotten, and game back to BB producers like a bad dream. Then the "keep Charley in" was a obvious fix. Which ruined BB8 as well.

I think we should all stay calm and not let her hopes rise.

So if we think negative and it is bad,we wont be that dissapointed, if we think negative and its great than we will think its a massive sucess. My idea is not to think its going to be the best yet because there like 70% chance that it wont be great.

I hope it's going to be good but I agree with you guys too. This could be a make or break series as many of us have been dissillusioned with the last two series. We're just going to have to tune in and see.

I feel the same.

BB8's runup was sooo exciting, it was the best part about it.
Hopefully BB9 won't be such an anti-climax!

its okay to get excited tho! Dont be so pesimistic. It may be te best BB Ever!! think positive thoughts!!

Yess but if we all think positve and it ends up really bad than we will all be dissapointed. Think negative lol, if its bad we wont be that dissapointed, if its good than we will be VERY happy and suprised.

Yep, I totally agree. I'm not getting my hopes up this year - I don't want to be disappointed.

I never really get all that excited about the show until the day before that it's on, all these eye and house pics mean virtually nothing to me.

When it's all said and done it's down to the housemates to make the show interesting, along with the producers coming up with twists and tasks of course.

I actually find the build up better than the show itself. I'm not that excited now and I never usually am. Its when the adverts are on TV and the rumour mill is in full circulation that I get excited.

Some people on here are comical. Their trying to protect the show so badly , you would swear they were on Channel 4's payroll.

Who ever started these suggestions of purposely keeping our hopes down and making ourselves miserable so the show will seem better?
