Default Housewarming Gifts

I'm sure you all agree with me that it's brilliant news Helen and Paul have finally bought a flat together.

Let's imagine that we're all invited to their housewarming party.

What would you take as a housewarming present?

Default House warming Gift Idea

How about a sieve to strain all of that white sauce in their mega-brilliant-cool fish pie?

I've racked my brains over this, and the only thing I can come up with at the moment is ........ a mirror!

How about a video complied with all their best bits - then, if they eva have an argument, they can just look at the vid and they will realise how lucky they r!!
I know it isnt exactly a housewarming gift as such but its still good!

How about matching light sabres so they can chase each other round the bedroom pretending their in starwars or suitcases to sit on and whizz around on, or perhaps Helen would prefer a pogostick, not!

OK, certain criteria must be fulfilled when buying a gift for the Clarke/Adams Lurve pad:

1. It must be sparkly and pink
2. It must be at least double cool
3. It must be glittery
4. It must allow one the opportunity to chill one's boots
5. It must have lights whizzing past
6. It must have connections with a galaxy
long, long ago
7. It must play disco music
8. It must be like, really weird

A challenge, but one which can be met....

A large fridge with a double freezer compartment, large enough to accomodate size 11 boots (or cheesy trainers) (2&4)

It must be spray painted metallic pink(1)

When the door opens, it will play Dancing Queen, and a rotating ballroom glitterball will reflect the little fidge light onto the delighted visitor (3,5&7)

At the bottom of the freezer, encased in ice, will be a long forgotten Galaxy choc ice...(6)

Not too difficult at all then!

What, me forget (8)? No, I think you'll find that's weird enough!

In fact, it's wicked!!!

Trust R.O.B. to come up with a cracker

I can't top that one - although I might splash out now and bring them their very own tyre seat - to bring back happy memories of the dinner date.

Yes R.O.B., as usual absolutely brilliant.

What about a delux 'snakes and ladders' set to remind them of the games (of the board variety!!) they played in the den.

Of course no one can top ROB. Just brilliant. I wondered if they'd appreciate an audio tape of men shuffling around, sweet papers being rustled, cameras moving and coughs and sneezes. They could play this every night as they snuggled under the duvet and they'd think they were back in the den.

Yes peachy, and what about another tape of trains going passed that they could play whenever they wanted some privacy, just to make sure no-one could hear what they were saying. :bouncing:

I think I'd get them a book of colour schemes, so the whole place doesn't have to be girlie pink, or boy racer chrome and black.
