Default x-Christina-x\'s Opinions on Stuff! Lol <3

Ok, so i kinda copied Consorz, DT and Gazbo lol soz. If you want you can have a little read <3

If you want you can just read the last one which is the most important one, if you want to know a bit more about me!

Life In Brixton (South London) .. (Inspired by DT lol)

Okay, so i live in South London (Brixton) and im sure most of you have heard how bad South London can be most of the time. Theres been over 20 murders in just one year (and im sure there are probably more!). I have to say it is pretty scary being in this kind of area not knowing whats going to happen next, i myself have actually been mugged on my own road!! It really does make you feel concious and for the past year now i have been constantly looking over my shoulder when i see someone i dont know. Its a horrible feeling because whenever i see someone watching me i automatically start panicking (and i know i shouldn't let it get to me but it has those kind of affects on you). So far i have had 3 people offer me drugs, 2 people blatently selling drugs in front of me, had fireworks shot out of a gun at a girl nearby my school, had a bomb blown up nearby where me, my mum and nan were and loads more things happen. Also my friend was mugged and beaten up by 2 girls for 50P!! And theres also a girl whos 2 years younger than me (she goes to my school) whos brother died in her arms in Clapham, his name was Billy Cox and he was shot by someone in a gang, but people are too scared to come foward and say which gang. Heres a video dedicated to him:

and one to stop gun crime in London:

Theres a saying called 'getting you set' which is basically when somebody gets somebody in gang to come and shoot somebody because they started trouble with them!
Theres many different gangs around south london i happen to know the names of most of them, which is kind of scary. However, although its a bad area i can't seem to help sticking up for it! Whenever my mum says were going to move i always have a little hissy fit and tell her that im not going anywhere because i like it where i am (its probably because of my friends) but i dont know why i do it. I suppose being here for almost 15 years has its ways on me.

Smoking/Smokers

Smokers have to be the most inconsiderate people on the planet! (Sorry if anyone smokes on here =s) Not only are they damaging their own lifes but there also damaging people's around them. My dad and auntie are both chain smokers and im sick of breathing in smoke and having to get a cushion and flap it around to get it out of my face. Some of you may think why dont i just leave the room but sometimes i have no choice but to sit in a room with them, e.g dinner times and when your in the middle of a conversation with one of them. My dad has just been diagnosed (if thats the right word) with Diabetes and he was in hospital for over 4 weeks and was told to stop smoking as it will make it worse than it already is. But has he ... no? When we came to vist him he could hardly sit still and was desperate for a 'fag' !! He done really well at one point he had a patch on and he hadnt had one for 3 days and then guess what he went and done? Because he had none in his draw and he fancied one he took off his drip, walked out of the hospital in his PJ's and went to the nearest shop, by foot, which was a few miles away and went and got a bloody packet! And for what? A few puffs and a couple more years off you and everybody around you's life? Pshh.. Also a girl in my year whos a very close friend of mine has been smoking since she was in year 9 and was influenced by older friends. Who in their right mind sells ciggerates to teens? Now you'll hear her randomly say 'Ooh i need a ciggerate' and its horrible!

My Life with Alzheimers

Ah, living with someone who has alzheimers can be very difficult. My nan was diagnosed with alzheimers (dementure) about 4 years ago. I was about 11 and it was all very confusing and scary for me and my family. I will try my best to explain it you all without being too boring lol. My nan has been living with me and my family ever since i was born and well before that. So shes had a massive role in my life. Shes been helping to look after me ever since i was a baby and while my parents had to return to work she was the one who looked after me. Sometimes i used to feel that i knew her better than i knew my parents (which is an unfair thing to say but its true). She would pick me up from school everyday with a bag of crips for me and my friends and i loved it. We used to have alot of arguments and i always used to say that she was never like a sweet and caring grandma because she was always so argumentative but now i realise that, that was her way of caring for me and others. We first started realising something was wronge about a year before she had been diagnosed, it was a normal day and i was on half term and one of my nans fave places to go would be the machine place as she called it (that place where you play on the machines for money). We had been there for about an hour and all of a sudden she collapsed on the floor and blacked out and i remeber screaming as her glasses flew off of face and landed on the floor. She was rushed to hospital with me at her side and they said she had passed out because she hadnt eaten that day and she usally ate brekfast everyday! (Had she forgotten to eat?). Of course my nan being my nan she blamed it on me and said i had rushed her about that morning because i was desperate to go to Woolworths to get a notebook. So we thought nothing of it.

About 5-6 months later i had started a new school and was coming home alone for the first time in ages. As i reached the front door i remeber having this horrible feeling that something had happend but rang the doorbell anyway. I didnt have any keys because we have one of those double glazing doors and the house keys were always on the other side of the door so they wouldnt get lost, so i couldnt of used them if i tried. As i waited my nan had taken an unusally long time to answer the door, so i pressed the doorbell again.. again no answer yet. At this point i was panicking i had been standing at the door for about 10 mins so i looked through the letter box to see if my nan was in the kicthen but i could see her i could only see my dog who was rushing around. I banged on the door and shouted for her to come and let me and i still had no answer. At this point although i didnt want to think it i was convinced that she had passed away. But then she answered and she was very weak and could hardly talk, so i rushed in and grabbed hold of her and led her to the nearest chair. I called my mum to see how i could keep her alive but theres was no answer and she was drooping into her chair so i started screaming at my loudest to try and keep her awake while i was on the phone to mum. My mums friend Jenny picked up and hear me screaming and put me onto my mum who was terrified.
'Shes dying' i remeber shouting 'Come home quick' my mum told me to go and get the neighbours or anyone that i knew so i rushed outside and luckily my neighbours were outside on their walls. When the ambulance came i was at her side for a 2nd time and my mum and dad arrived at the hospital about 15-20 mins later. After all that they told us she was drunk!! I felt so embarassed but they told me i didnt the right thing. She had poured out a glass full of whiskey without realising what it was. This scared us and it was then we realised something was wronge.

We arranged for her to have a secuirty thing fitted and she had to have a string around her neck with a red button which she was told to press incase of an emergancy. She had it for about 2 months and then started to go crazy over it saying it was dangerous and she demanded for it to be taken away. She then fell very sick and was becoming very confused, she was convinced we were all living in Cainbridge and not in London. She was then asleep for 2 days and were not quite sure whether she had a stroke or what but as soon as she awoke that was when she was diagnosed with alzheimers. She changed so quickly from then on. My auntie had to come down and look after her while i was at school and mum and dad were at work. She barley even knew who anyone was and i was really upset. Nobody knew how i felt let alone what alzheimers was. So i had nobody to talk to, and i didnt feel comfterable talking to my mum and dad about it. And she has become worse over the years but is very much the same. You will say something to her and in about 2 mins she would of forgetten. I do get upset sometimes but at the same time im so glad shes still with us. And its now my turn to look after her..
I know it sounds like a major sob story, but i felt that people should know And this may sound a little strange but everynight i pray that god will keep her alive for us, and she's still going strong till this day! She has even lived to see her great great grandson! Some pics of her:

Nan Before Being Diagnosed

I'm a smoker yeah and sorry if I offend you but aww man ! I think people like you are kinda selfish since only smokers have to be considerate but you, non-smokers think you have the right to say whatever people have to do or not. That kills me. And come on, of course you can leave the room and it's not with 5 minutes in contact with smoke everyday, you will be automatically sick.
Of course I can see your point and I know how upsetting it could be but come on, everybody should make some efforts, not only us (smokers).

Edit: For your nan, I do understand and I couldn't have said it better myself. My nan had the same thing and it was a disaster. It's really upsetting because you cannot help her.

Why do people get off on comparing cigarettes to crack cocaine these days?

If you want to quit , get help. If you dont want to quit , be considerate of non-smokers. If your a non smoker , let the smoker take their lives into their own hands and stop trying to play nanny.

Its really not that difficult. Most non smokers hate smokers just because its the in thing to do. Its quiet sad , really.

I knew you were going to comment that one. We should make the 'TIBB Smokers' club.

I hate smokers they are just are just dirty smelly...well tramps to be honest. We waste are taxes each year just because some people find it cool to smoke and kill themselves. Then they have the nerve to go and smoke in your face when you are out in public. It's a disgusting habit.

It's a habit among plenty of others. I like that, you may like something else but I'm not going to say 'that's disgusting'.
And be happy we cannot smoke in bars and pubs anymore, you have that place, you have laws to protect yourself from that. You don't want to kill us, like Hitler did with Jewish people don't you ?
It's not a crime against humanity.

You are aware that if smokers wash themselves like any normal person they are usualy just as clean? Seriously , the nursery school government pamphlet arguments are getting a little tiresome. That goes for the killing yourself argument too. Its our lives , we can do what we want with them. Smoking kills? I say time kills.

Plus , your tax argument falls flat on its face. Any tax you have 'wasted' due to all that non smoking your doing is surely made up for by the riddiculous taxes people who smoke pay for their cigarettes.

I mean, non-smokers tell us we are selfish but come on, so are they ! Smoking is banned from public places like bars, clubs, restaurants... What do they want next ? To ban it in the streets ? Or at home ? Will we smoke hidden in a dark street ? Get lost !

I'm not a fan of smoking and smokers either but as long as they don't make me breathe in their smoke then I don't see a problem with it. Its their lives, let them do what they want.

I'm not sure your getting the whole picture. There's no difference between crack and coke - at the end of the day you are willingly taking a drug you know you can get addicted to and his harmful and are willing shoving it in to your body.

Theirs no difference between crack and coke? First of all , why bring that up. Second of all , their is a huge difference. Crack is freebase cocaine. It gives you an intense rush lasting 10 minuets , but tolerance builds , so it becomes both extremely addictive and extremely harmful [See : Amy Winehouse].

As for willingly taking cigarettes into my body ... yeah? So what? I like it. Its my choice.

And don't think we are not aware of everything smoking causes, generally non-smokers think we are all very dumb while we know exactly.

It gives you an intense rush lasting 10 minuets , but tolerance builds , so it becomes both extremely addictive and extremely harmful [See : Amy Winehouse].

As for willingly taking cigarettes into my body ... yeah? So what? I like it. Its my choice.
Happy Dying! It's your choice I guess. You are the one lowering your sperm count cigarette by cigarette not me!
Do you honestly believe that rubbish on the back of the cigarette boxes? Yes , chronic smoking CAN lower your sperm count , but theirs still plently to go around , so it makes no diffrerence.

And im going to have to shatter yuor ignorance here and wish you a happy dying to. Because guess what? We are all going to die.

To be fair, E=tp2, does every (male) smoker have low sperm count? Do all people that smoke get cancer? No. It's a nasty risk, but it doesn't always happen.

There are plenty of people who have been through life smoking but still been perfectly healthy and died of alternative natural causes, with their lungs still in a good state.
