Default There is no secret message in the eye!

We all know that deep down we know there is no hidden message in the BB9 eye. The red streak doesn't mean BB will have "a nasty STREAK" and there is no war theme. Every year people try to find secret messages in the eye and there never is! It's just a design.

The design must come from some idea so the eye could well have a meaning

Well, maybe, maybe not, but it does make Big Brother look nastier. Like for BB8, it was a colourful eye, and we had a slightly more fun Big Brother... see where I'm going with this?

Argh, I dunno. I make no sense. XD

He's not really spoiling, Its more a less the truth the eye doesn't normally relate with the theme of show only except BB5 which was kinda evil looking

Thank you. In reference to BB5, wht=ether are not it looks evil, is a matter of opinion. I agree that the new eye is most likely supposed to look tough, ahrsh and mean, but to the people who say "The red streak has to mean something!" - why does it?

Companies get paid hundreds of thousands of pounds to design these logos. You can bet your arse they're told what the 'theme' is.

Exactly. I dont think the red streak means anything in particular. Its worrying cos everyone now thinks BB is going evil again but nobody has confirmed that apart from the red streak in the eye (which could be meaningless) and people will be disappointed if BB is not evil or nasty.

I agree. It is just the eye, like remember last years 'keyhole'

But yeah BB5's was quite evil and this one does look pretty fierce.

but yeah, we will never know, unless like we get told by the creators

well the bb7 one had a secret message in it:
twisted.

the bb5 one:
evil

bb8:
fun

i dont think it is an in depth as " the keyhole must mean they have to live in a keyhole for 13 weeks!"

just as in " it loks evil,. so the series willl be that sort of theme"

Their not secret messages. Their just design themes. The only eye that had any secret message in it was the billboard version of the BB7 eye that had the word in it.

And even that was nonsensical.

Just because the eye was twisted doesn't mean its a message or theme. You say it like the producers came out and said or even implied "The eye means fun!". They didn't even imply there was a message. It's all guess work, none of those examples mean anything.

That little red streak might mean a massive wonderous amazing theme!

just cause people can't think of them doesnt mean it's there.

I dont think that there is ever a theme except BB5 because they were basing the whole advertising on EVIL BB to attract viewers. Although I must agree that the new BB9 eye looks sharp, and is associated with glass with are conventions of evil, harm ect.

So It could be based on a theme, although i doubt it.

thye said that the theme was "twisted" half way through, i rember davina saying in a interview.

it was to twist the housemates feelings and reactions and they were pushed and pushed to breaking point time and time again.

She might have said "Oh this is so twisted" or something but she didn't say or imply "There is a secret message/theme in the eye. That is 'twisted'."

I see it like a poem - we each may see diffrent things.
If I thought the red streak may mean something, whos to stop my thoughts?

The fact that it might not be designed to mean anything , rendering your thoughts useless in the context of the show?

I think the eyes do have a secret meaning to them, the only reason people think there isnt any messages in the eyes is because they keyhole in last years eye did nothing.
That could of just been a mistake in the design...

This year i doubt the red line is a mistake, it must have a point, if it doesnt... well its a bit of a rubbish eye then isnt it? And a bit pointless.

No one said it was a mistake. But why does it have to mean something. Chances are it means nothing like all the others, before BB8. You have nothing to base that opinion on.

Well BB has history in hidden messages, the design of the bb5 eye was a clear message to fans about what the series had in store.
Also i cant remember what series it was... but there was a hidden code in the start of every show. I just wouldnt completely wipe out the idea of hidden meanings.

Maybe there is maybe there isnt... but I personally believe there is. We will find out in a few weeks!

In BB7 there were words in the titles not the eye. There was no message in the BB5 eye. It was designed to look evil, but a design theme is not the same as a secret message.

i think there is a weak theme behind it of BB getting tough but i dont think the red has any link to it at all.. if you take that red bit away it becomes quite bland.. chances are thats only there to spice it up.. and i agree i wouldn't dig into the eye to get a theme... last years eye was because of the whole Shilpa Jade fiasco and so that eye was supposed to be about peace etc nothing to do with the house
