Scarier than any of the Silent Hill games

In Silent Hill: Homecoming, you will be scared of all of the sounds in this game. Nurses are running around crazy, babies are crying, the atmosphere is awesome with a nice music background, and things pop out of nowhere. I just suggest you play the game at night with your 5.1 Surround sound all the way up and see if it won’t scare you.

IGN might have played the game in the office and not in a house at night; how can you be scared when you play it on a bright day!?

Characters are deeper

Alex Shepard and the rest of the cast of Silent Hill: Homecoming are more deep than any of the characters in Silent Hill games. More of the past of Alex Shepard will be revealed in the game, and that is very interesting.

Story is better than Origins but not as great as Silent Hill 2

I found the story of Silent Hill: Homecoming better than the rest of the games in the series, but, of course, I think Silent Hill 2 is far better. From start to finish, you’ll be scratching your head from time to time saying to yourself, “WHAAAT?”

The IGN review seemed really nitpicky to me, they were determined to dislike it I think because it wasn't made by Team Silent. Reasons like 'the story's ok but it doesn't relate to other games' are nitpicky since when did any of the other games feature appearances by Dahlia or Alessa? I can't remember them in SH2 yet that got a great score.... the comments about Alex being too able are just stupid....He's an ex army solider I think he might just now how to fight.

About it not being scary....RE4 wasn't yet look at the scores that got.

The comments about the music being too 'grand' was just nitpicky I thought. Overall it was a bad review, the reasons to dislike it was minor i thought the only real point that was valid was the point about it being a bit too dark at times.

As the old saying goes 'you can't spell ignorant without IGN'.
