Default Arguments

Im writing this to say that I'm sick of the petty and trivial arguments that I've come across in this area of the forum.
It is very unpleasant for the other members to have to encounter the threads clogged up by posts from people arguing over trivial and immature things.
I feel I have to scroll endlessly through a thread to get to the information I want due to the multiple posts of petty arguments.

Please stop this. It is given the forum a bad name and I am considering deleting my account as a result of this.

Also, if anyone dares to start an argument over this saying that it is "clogging" the forum ironically, I would just like to remind them that there would be no need to post this if they simply stopped their petty, immature, demoralising, irritating arguments. AND that they are just proving my point by doing so.

Please argue on a one to one basis only in your own time.

Thankyou.

I see where your coming from, but in the words of Tracey....Deal with it.

It's a forum, it's not arguing, it's mixed opinions.

It's part of every forum, no matter which forum your on, there will always be arguing.

Point proven. Also my status within the forum is irrelivent. I should be able to enjoy the forum without petty arguments regardless of how many posts I've made.

And I can express my opinion regardless of the length of time I have been a member also.

I don't mind forums where there is healthy debating, officialleafan. But i often come across threads that are purely informative and innocent with no need for petty arguing of a malicious nature which can turn nasty with no need. Completey trivial and immature. I'm glad you agree though.

If people want to have a debate, or lively discussion then thats their business. If it gets nasty - its still their business, keep out of it and it shouldn't make any difference to you, unless you let it.

But you've got to understand that some people are more outspoken about their opinions than others.

I agree that arguing does go on here, but sometimes you have to learn to deal with it.

Fraser,

I would like to suggest to you that you press the off switch, stand up, back away from the computer, put on your coat and shoes, open your front door and enter the real world, where you will find all manner of social interaction - pleasant and otherwise.

Furthermore, if you feel so strongly about this, then maybe having an internet connection isn't for you. You would be wise to spend your money on something more relaxing instead.

If you are angry at feeling the need to write that post, then maybe you should consider seeking some professional psychiatric help.

Kudos on the last part of your post where you insist that nobody contradicts your opinion. Again, I would like to offer you a piece of advice. Look up the definition of "forum" in the dictionary. You will find that it's a place for people to share and discuss their opinions.

I hope this information does not cause you any more unnecessary distress as it's clear you are a man with several emotional issues already.

Check some otehr BB forums, over there they are much worse, I find myself nice and cosy here.

They make it my business when I have to endlessly scroll pass their arguments in threads to get to the desired info. And on the whole it is usually personal. I dont mind things like e.g.

"Davina is a great host" "No she isnt" in a "Davina" thread.

its the whole idea of:
"Davina is a great host" "No she isnt" "Well you are rubbish at designing eyes" "No i am not, you cant spell properly" that irritates me.

I just hope people see my point and stop the petty arguments.

Well, they won't. You're living in a dream world if you think anyone is going to pay a damn bit of notice to this. This thread was destined to start an argument. If you hated scrolling so much you're just going to have to learn to deal with it.

I'm seventeen and high up in a profession where I have to deal with people from all walks of life, so that isnt my problem. Its when arguments clog up threads wasting other peoples time. Couldn't they argue in their own time. I must reinforce... im talking about petty arguments when things get PERSONAL. I dont mind healthy debating, after all that is one of the main purposes of a forum.

I never said that he/she couldn't express their opinion, I was simply making the point that it's a pretty harsh post to make for someone that hasn't been here that long, therefore perhaps not knowing the backgrounds to alot of these arguments (Oh God, this is starting to get more complicated than Lost.)

How high up can you be at seventeen, lol. It's a fair point to make, but to be realistic, it won't make any difference unfortunatly.

I hope this thread wasn't destined to start an arguement because thats the last thing I want. I would call this healthy debating which I do not mind at all, and also because its within the correct thread then thats good

I fast tracked because I sat my scottish highers 2 years early and done my honours degree in 2 yrs instead of 3, lol. Long story. But yeah maybe it doesn't appear it will make a big difference, but if it attracts enough people, maybe people will , personal arguments are not fun or anything close to hy debatheaing we should be having.

Well thats still their impression of TiBB, ok he/she hasn't been here long so they don't know the background story but there are a lot of new members joining coming up to BB9 and it doesn't create a very good impression of TiBB. I bet other people are the feeling the same way and its turning them away from here so I am glad somebody has brought this up because now we know these arguments are having an affect on TiBB's reputation

Luckily it is in the right place, not petty and healthy debating rather than an argument though

Also its not personal and people do not need to scroll pass irrelevant nonsense to get to the desired information because the thread is sticking to its subject.

Please argue on a one to one basis only in your own time.

Thankyou.

You have completely controdicted yourself by making this thread!!! you have started the worst "petty" argument i have seen on this forum. And also there will always be arguing on forums because everyone has different opinions, and yes sometimes people say silly things, me included, but at the end of the day we never get personal on this forum and it is the most comfortable forum for BB i have ever been on and i like the members on this forum because they are not afraid to say their opinions and stand up for them, that is not called "petty" arguing its called human nature, the fact you have called this "petty" arguing show the rest of us that you probably dont belong on this forum.
