Well seeing as England aren't in it this year, so I doubt it will be a problem

Home nations aren't in the competition
Big Brother is in the 10pm slot so there wont be that many clashes
The two have completely different audiences.

big brother claims their demographic to be gays and women anyway, so there won't be too much competition.

Most of the games will be finished by the time that Big Brother starts at 10pm, it's only when it gets to the quarter final stage and beyond, that there might be clashes due to games going extra time and penalties.

If England were in the tournament and playing at the same time as the highlights show, then it would there obviously be quite a loss of viewers but seeing as England nor any of the other home nations are qualified for Euro 2008, there wont be much of an effect on the ratings.

BB has always done quite well when running alongside the football tournaments - they complement each other quite well, and there's probably alot of "well, you can watch the football but I'm watching BB at 10" compromises going on.

Neither BB5 or BB7 suffered for it, while BB3 got the highest ever ratings, though that year with the World Cup being in Japan/Korea, games kicked off in the morning.
