Default Kitten\'s the purr-fect drawcard

She may not be popular in the outside world, but Big Brother without Kitten is like a stag night without a stripper.

Remember Anouska from last year? The 20-year-old flirt was the first person to show a bit of spunk, but was kicked out in the first week.

The result was a ten-week snoozefest.

It seems anyone who shows even an ounce of attitude is shown the door.

Here's the proof. A poll conducted by the Mail online shows 67 per cent of our readers want Kitten booted out. Refugee Ahmed is next in line.

I won't deny that at first I wanted to see her kicked through that catflap from here to Timbuktu.

That was then. Now I've had an epiphany - Kitten should have stayed. Not because we like her, but because she's the one who winds up the housemates and entertains us.

If Big Brother is, as it claims to be, getting evil this year, Kitten was the answer to making the other housemates' lives hell.

Sure, Kitten's done some cringe-worthy stuff. She's lippy, she's a vandal and has failed to make any friends - perhaps because 'like', she can't 'like', string a sentence together. She wishes she was Johnny Rotten, but breaks down in tears if things don't go her way.

And making a good first impression means nothing to her. The lesbian anarchist stormed into the house in a blaze of fury, bad-mouthing Big Brother after snogging her girlfriend. I had to look away.

She epitomises bad-taste. But for the most part, watching her try to buck the system makes for far more riveting viewing than seeing a bunch of wannabes flex their muscles and have deep-and-meaningfuls. Yawn!

Love her or hate her, we're all talking about Kitten around the water-cooler in the office.

Without her, watching Big Brother will be like watching grass grow.
