She said: “I want people to know the truth — that he is a very nasty person who does not deserve fame and celebrity status. He is jealous, obsessive and violent. I think in 13 weeks on Big Brother, his true colours will show.”
Brunette Denise first met Mario, 42, whose real name is Shaun Astbury, when she worked at a wine bar in her home town of Widnes, Cheshire, in 1984.
They started dating and when Denise got a job at a hotel in Llandudno for the summer, she got him work in the kitchen.
The couple shared a small cottage behind the hotel with friends, who also worked there.
Denise said: “I knew from the start that he was jealous.
“I went out with the girls one night and he followed us from bar to bar to keep an eye on me. When I got back to the cottage, he came at me, and started hitting me and ripping my clothes.
“He was obsessed that other men were looking at me or that I was looking at other men.”
Two months later Mario moved to London where he got a job as a postman — and Denise followed him.
She got a job in an estate agent’s and the couple rented a flat in Vauxhall from August 1984.
The second violent incident came in December.
She said: “Shaun came home in the early hours and went berserk, punching me giving me a black eye.”

It's obviously just another ex who is trying to cash in on the fact that their ex is in the house, not being able to defend himself.
