Default An American\'s Perspective

When I first saw that Darnell didn't like the U.S. because everyone there was lazy and if you worked in the UK like you do in the U.S. you'd be homeless (I am paraphrasing) I was offended a bit.

Of course I agreed, but I didn't like to hear it.

Then I kept watching the show. I have never in my life seen a group of self-serving, namby-pamby, whining, bitches in my life. (I have three daughters over the age of 18 if that helps).

This Big Brother has a bunch of immature, but well-spoken, In 60 years when the autopsy is done on most of these children, the cause of daeth will be chronic whining.

Mario gets a bad wrap. But he seems like an adult. Shocking. Must be a theme in the UK. At first I thought it was just the people on the show. Then I realized it must be the youth all across the UK.

The only reason I half disagree with that assessment is that you also think that Aleks needs to go. She is the most hideous waste of flesh I have ever seen on TV. She is an oxygen thief. She has absolutely no socially redeeming qualities.

Mario was given a task. He didn't like it but he tried. He acted like an adult. Not a real surprise. Steph got a task and intended to fail from the beginning. The public saw that and punished her laizee-faire and self-pitying attitude.

Get over it and get over yourselves.

Have a nice day....

Interesting opinions, but "get over ourselves"?

Do elaborate.

Get over yourselves was directed at the residents of the house.

Did I strike a sensitive nerve on some of you?

You basically said you think everyone in the uk is the same as those in the bb house which is an incredibly stupid thing to say.

Yes I think so, it seems as you are implying all of the Uk are like the HMs. Just to let you understand, the producers pick these people so that they cause conflict etc., they do not pick them to show an example of your average Briton.

Much love

I guess that my last reply wasn't as complete as some may have needed.

I have been to the UK as a visitor about five or six times over the years. It strikes me as pretty similar to the U.S., except with a much better public transportation system. If you ignore the part where I almost get run over for the first few days of the visit. It takes me that long top learn to look to the right instead of the left when crossing the street.

Aside from that, I really didn't think that the majority of Briton's were:

A: Gay (What is the fascination with these shows?)
B: Transvestites
C: Overbearing hate-mongers (We get that enough of our own in the U.S. - But we call them Democrats and put them on public television)
Otherwise disabled (Kat fits into this "kat"egory)

Luke is my favorite so far. He's a dork. A geek. A dweeb. Ok. He's me 25 - 30 years ago.

I didn't intend to offend any of my Brit Brethren. (Part English, Part Irish (Although there is argument that we are actually Scottish) as well as German and American Indian). I'm a mutt.

I had some great friends in Afghanistan that are Brits. But then again I once worked for an over-bearing British wench very similar to Alex. Pent-up hostility maybe? No. Alex needs to go.

Let me know when the pound isn't more than double the dollar and a pint is less than three pounds and I'll come visit again.

It was how you worded it that made it a bit confusing

Firstly, how is Kathreya disabled?

And secondly, the majority of Britons aren't any of those. Gays, let alone transvestites, are a minority in Britain. They're chosen to be on Big Brother because they're different from the norm and it's interesting to see a variety of characters.

I think he meant- he doesn't really think all brits are like that-just the wording is dodgy

And I'm not sure how Kat is disabled either? Probably just a bad joke.

A typical dumb American Republican.

Dear, get back to your Intelligent Design class as fast as you're able to get your Southern obese behind out of the house.

Yes, we're all gay, just like in America.

No. This poster is a typical Republican. They see gays as abnormal, and how dare they be shown on a television series. Trust me.

You're all Communists.

Republicans have one line that they acquired from The Simpsons 14-yeas-ago, not knowing how outdated and lame it is. They call you "cheese-eating surrender monkeys." Republicans are outdated, and national laughing stocks. Pay them no mind.

This person is typical of their ilk, and will be posting slurs in no time.

It's Alex's American cousin.

No. Don't think that this Republican troll is representative of America. There's a reason why their party has been thrown out of Congress, and nationally despised. It's exactly for crap like this.
