Right, we know the producers are down to the final 30 possible housemates and who knows? Maybe they check these message boards from time to time.
![]() We could try and influence them into picking the kind of people we want to see. Would you prefer to see a BB1 type group or a BB2 type group? Should the producers avoid the type of characters that were unpopular before or are these essential to the success of the show? They say only 50 out of the 10000 applicants were aged over 45. One of these perhaps? Do they need to avoid picking applicants that remind viewers of previous housemates? ![]() ![]() |

I definetely think they should avoid picking people similar from the last series - we want a whole new fresh set of faces and personalities!
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() However, even though I was all up for a variety of housemates last year (& i know some of u r gonna disagree with me!) but i found liz to be really boring and i dont think they should pick boring ones. Think of all the exciting and fun people we could have had in there (ie, anna and natasha!) Im all up for a bit of a mixture but i think the producers should avoid the boring ones just cos they are tringto create a variety! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Good question, James.
![]() Given the choice, I would definitely prefer to see a BB2 type mix of contestants, mainly because they seemed to genuinely form strong bonds and friendships in the house, which have continued in the outside world. (Paul and Helen, Brian and Narinder, Bubble & Dean, etc.) Watching these friendships develop, and how they coped when one of them was evicted was fascinating viewing. Although a couple of the BB1 housemates did form friendships of a sort, in the main they 'played the game' far more as individuals and tended to avoid forming close bonds with anyone. As for BB3 - I'm sure the mix will change again. Possibly we might see a couple of older housemates this time, and I do think they'll avoid putting in people with too similar characters to, say, Brian and Helen. We'll know for definite on the 24th! ![]() |

I thought BB2 was a lot better than BB1 so I'd like to see a group like that in the new house.
![]() It's also possible that they'll select types of characters that we haven't seen yet to keep the concept fresh. ![]() If older or (older acting) housemates are put in there I hope they just be themselves and don't try to emulate the younger bubbly ones. But I get the feeling that Big Brother needs the mature housemates more than they need Big Brother and that's why so few applied. The producers require people like that for the balance of personalities in the house, I think. Did you know that Anne and Natasha only got 16% of the vote between them to go in to the house last time? ![]() |

I just hope they have completely different people!
I think they would have ben quite careful not to pick people too similar to past housemates and I doubt any camp, Irish air stewards would get in and neither will any bubbly, blonde, Welsh hairdressers etc, etc, etc! |
