Default Steph NOT! coming back (heatworld) phone line problem denied

Quote:
We were all quite shocked on Friday night when it was little Stephanie, not Mario, who got the chop from the Big Brother house. Predictably, the weekend papers were then full of allegations that BB had fixed the vote so that the phoneline to evict Mario was mysteriously out of action. However, we’ve now heard straight from the horse’s mouth that this is total rubbish. "Our operator has confirmed that there were no problems with the platform that the Big Brother vote is run on, and that the vote was monitored throughout the running of the show,” says a Big Brother spokesperson. They added that, contrary to tabloid rumours, Stephanie will not be returning to the BB house. We’ve investigated further, and it seems that any apparent problems with voting would have been down to the over-excited BB fans misdialling the eviction phone numbers. It’s also worth remembering that Stephanie was very unpopular at the beginning of last week, when the lines first opened, and that while Mario certainly turned evil about halfway through the week, it was probably already too late to save Steph, because zillions of people had already voted to evict her. Anyway, we don’t imagine Mr Health & Safety will be around for much longer – although if he goes up against Alex this week, we’ll be in a right old pickle…
This is from Heatworld

Oh look, I stated every point in that quote and it went ignored.

I imagine this will still be ignored then?

You just wait til those diehard Steph fans get their anecdotal stories to counteract OfCom. "I rang up and couldn't get through wah wah wah!" yeah right, stubby fingers.

And calm.

So over 700 people misdialled?

ITV also "denied" any problems, and we all know what happened there.

I think this story was made up by Steph fans because they can't get over it, they cannot believe 'the most entertaining housemate' was evicted.

Where did you get the 700 figure from?

Also - OfCom closely observe phone-ins (especially with Big Brother) after past incidents. It's a lot more stringent now.

where have you got these 700 people from?

i dont think channel 4 would be that stupid after everything that happened last year with richard and judy, shilpa's vote to save in celebrity big brother and gmtv (although thats nothing to do with channel 4, but the fine was giant)

Do you actually believe though that all these people would go to the extent of lying? Im used to my fave being evicted first () so I wouldnt have a problem with her going, but it didn't let me vote so obviously Im going to see what's going in. I dont think there is any lying about it.

Ok, so bitter Steph fans.
A few people misdialled - claimed the phone lines had been tampered with - and so Steph fans signed the petition to fix their little conspiracy theory.

You mentioned ITV - the reason their denials didn't work is cos OfCom found them to be lying. Thus, you've put trust in OfCom, yeah? OfCom have not found BB to be lying in this instance and therefore there was nothing wrong with the phonelines.

Over exited fans mis-dialing!!!!What a load of bull manure.....Take an idiot to believe such tripe...

BB is for the gamblers they are the ones who vote not for the best housemate but for profit.....They are the ones who make it impossible for genuine fans to get a genuine result.....That's the reality.....

A few people misdialled? LOL. I doubt all these people have misdialled Lauren. There must obviously be a reason for the lines "closing" at 9.20pm.

I wonder what stories Steph fans are thinking up now

People said the same when Rhydian didn't win X Factor but after an investigation it was proved there was no problems. Its just stupid fans saying there was a fix because they can't accept a person they like is out.

I disregarded your figure of 700, so yes a few people misdialled. Not 700. Those 700 who signed the petition were Steph fans who couldn't take it that she was evicted.

i doubt all those people exist. some will have signed more than once, other steph fans will have just jumped onto the "fix" bandwagon and signed.

can i ask, who were the lines fixed for? ie whos line wasn't working and at what time? i cast quite a couple of votes which were all successful.

Proof? You are blatantly assuming that they are Steph fans, whereas in the topic that was made, people who had voted Mario, nothing to do with Steph, signed because they couldnt get through.

i managed to get through 4 times. ill print the phone bill out and scan it in when it comes.

but more to the point, you're asking me for proof. i'd like proof from you that all 700 people exist and all 700 people attempted to vote.

Are they 700 people that couldn't get through to Mario's line? Or 700 people that just want her put back in the house?

Yeah today I was in the shop and saw a picture of Steph on the daily star saying 'Can't wait to get back into the house and have sex with Rex' which I dout she said that. Cos apprantley Alex was getting the boot. But I read that this year non of the ex housemates would return to the house like Chanelle did last year.
