I thought I would make one big thread for all the preseason news, instead of just loads of little ones that ultimatley die a death.

There will be 13 houseguests. Big Brother 8 winner Dick Donato announced on House Calls that Big Brother 10 will feature a wider range of HouseGuests.

After Dark and House Calls will return. Julie Chen will host.

For the first time since BB1 there will be a live audience at evictions.

So what do you think the twist will be. It's the first time in six series that there has been 13 housemates. Perhaps that's what it has to do with.

Expect a lot of older contestants this year though, with Dick winning BB8 and Shelia coming third in bb9. The makers must be wanting some older houseguests.

We should be getting news about the house and housemates in the coming week I think.

There's been rumors about a fans v favs, but that won't happen even tho it would be great!

One thing I really want an improvement on is the house. the BB9 house was just not nearly as good as BB8. None the them compare to the BB1 - BB7 houses but still!

“This year [the house] reflects the cast in all the different places and eras they come from,” (So a 60's, 70's, 80's room?)

“[We wanted to take] the original concept of the show of strangers moving into a house — with diverse points of view, coming from all places, all different ages, all different walks of life — and try to put that back into play for this special Big Brother 10 season,” (back to basics?)

Not, it's not, because of the terrible viewing figures BB9 had for E4.

BB4's Jack was 58 when he entered the house back in 2003 making him the oldest person in BBUSA. BB3's Gerry was 51 when he played the game and BB2's Kent was one year older then Sheila, 46, when he played the game in 2001.

The casting is going to have a slightly conservative vs. liberal angle.

A recently divorced Koren-American tomboy.

A 35 year old gay rodeo cowboy who’s a bit prejudiced himself.

A 25 year old who doesn’t consider himself a bartender.

A 53 year old New Orleans socialite.

A 31 year old who’s from a predominantly white neighborhood, she’s a black mother of 3 and an Obama supporter in Bush country. She has a pair of rare twins.

The son of a Pentecostal preacher.

A 24 year old teacher in an all boys Catholic school. He would move out of the country if Hillary were President.

If people are wanting another winter BB, the summer BB’s ratings better be huge. Season X is short by a couple weeks but that’s dependent on ratings as well.

hm.....i dont blame them...our big brother is the best anyway! thats why they have to copy our entertainment! i mean they are good 2.. but i think they should keep theirs original....

What do you mean copy our BB? How is BBUSA copying ours? They aren't changing the format.

Wtf, Big Brother US has a completely different format. Series 1 followed our normal format, but even that series in the US begun before Big Brother started here, so technically we 'copied' them - even though that may have been the natural format to use. Get your facts right.
