There's no business like zoo business...

After a sweaty morning of sunbathing, the housemates have been gathered in the Living Area to await news of the task. "Imagine if you had to put a costume on now!" said Jennifer. It's as if you read Big Brother's mind...

Luke was summoned to the Diary Room and returned with a blackboard and a laminate to read to the group. At the sight of animal names, Kathreya started squealing excitedly and jumping up and down. Must be all that time she's spent with the inflatable alligator in the pool.

Having explained the Zoo Task to the housemates, Luke began to divvy up animals among the housemates.


Luke and Michael were quick to snap up the elephant memory challenge, while Rex and Dale will be practising their boxing as kangaroos.

"Who wants to eat lots of food?" Luke asked when he got to the rabbits. There was an enthusiastic response from Darnell and Mohamed. Boys, what you don't know is that the only thing on the menu is carrots.

Lisa and Stuart volunteered for the stamina challenge of standing on one leg as flamingos, with Stuart asserting that although it would be hard, he'd rather give it his all than risk somebody else messing it up. Charming. What a trooper.

It was agreed that Rachel and Kathreya would be the two-headed llama, sharing one costume. "I can do that because I'm very patient!" Kathreya announced, before wondering, "Does it mean we have to poo-poo together?" We hope not.

When it came to the seal task, which involves standing on a podium outside, Mario was quick to assess the risk involved. "If you don't like sun, that is not for you, because you'll be out there!" he warned the group, raising his voice authoritatively. It was then agreed that Jennifer and Rebecca would be donning the blubber, with Mario taking the role of zookeeper. Housemates must be relieved to have The Facilitator taking charge.
