New Big Brother stunner Sara Folino is hiding a dark secret - she was kicked out of home after getting hooked on drugs at just 16.

The gobby Aussie is said to have "got wrecked" on cannabis, LSD, ecstasy and cocaine after falling in with a wild party crowd.

And her strict Italian father has NEVER forgiven her.

A close friend claimed: "Sara was wild when she was a teenager - she fell in with a bad crowd and went totally off the rails.

"Her family, especially her dad, disowned her and she still doesn't speak to them.

"It's sad really. She would love to make it up with them but they don't want to know.

"There is a huge rift between her and the rest of the family which makes her feel very lonely."

Sexy Sara entered the Big Brother house on Friday night, as hot totty along with sultry model Maysoon Shaladi.

But we can reveal life wasn't always so carefree when she was growing up in a rural suburb of Melbourne, Australia.

Ahappy early childhood with parents John and Elaine, her twin brother, and another brother and a sister, turned sour after she got her first job working as a waitress.

Her pal told The People: "When Sara starting working evenings and weekends she met up with an older crowd.

"Before that she was a good student and always well behaved.

But the older crowd were into partying and taking drugs and Sara got caught up in it."

By 16, the pal claimed, Sara was smoking cannabis on a daily basis and regularly going clubbing and taking class A drugs.

The friend said: "She would often get totally wrecked on LSD, cocaine and ecstasy.

"It wasn't long before her behaviour started to change and her parents realised something was going on.

"They tried to stop her seeing her so-called newfriends but she wouldn't listen. Half the time she would be wandering around in a daze not really knowing what was going on."

Our source said Sara lost her virginity at 17 while hanging around with boys.

The pal said: "Her behaviour caused a lot of gossipwhere the family lived.

"Her father was a respected member of the community and couldn't handle the fact everyone was talking about what a disgrace his daughter was.

"In the end he couldn't take it any more and kicked Sara out." The teenager went to stay with a friend's mum.

Her parents carried on paying for her private college tuition, but have had little contact since her education finished. Five years ago Sara moved to London on a "whim" in a bid to start afresh.

Sara herself admitted to her new BB housemates she was the "archetypal teenager from hell".

She added: "I don't really see my family because my dad kicked me out so there's been a bit of bad blood there.

"When I was 13 I did start sort of like hanging out with older guys and just with the wrong crowd. When I was a bit younger I was a bad girl but I'm okay now.

Iwouldn't say I'm a good girl but I'm definitely not as bad as I was.

I'm just not sweet as pie." In London, Sara stopped taking drugs, made new friends, and got her life back on track.

She landed a job as an executive PA at MTV and hasn't looked back. She even tried to patch things up with her parents. Sara's folks flew over to see her, but hopes of a reconciliation failed.

The pal said: "By the time they left they realised that we were never going to see eye to eye.

"Now things are pretty much the same as they were before - and they haven't spoken since."

But Sara keeps her family heartache hidden and work colleagues at MTV see her as a bubbly. happy-go-lucky girl.

She even won an award for being the loudest person in the office. But yesterday Sara told Maysoon another of her secrets.

She hadn't told her MTV bosses about Big Brother - saying instead she was off sick - and now fears she could get the sack.
