Default who says newcomers cant win

i read someone saying that new housemates at this stage cant win, just look at eugine he came a close 2nd and lets face it weather we like it or not, orlaith would have easily made the top 3 had she not of walked, and that would of ment only 1 origonal and the 2 newer ones would have made that years top 3,so never say never about these new housemates

If you enter past Day 30, there's 0 chance for you. Halfway housemates and HND housemates were busts, although newcomers can win if they enter while fanbases are still pretty weak.

eugine and orlaith entered on day 28 and both were very populaer and both would of made the top 3 well eugine did but orlaith would have even beat eugine.

Yep, but when you really think about it, they have a chance in surviving evictions, just not winning.

Both Jennie and Jonty who were the only mid-entry latecomers to place in the top six came sixth with 0.6% (Jennie) and 6% (Jonty) out of 6.

They have to enter early on to stand a chance of winning. Late on (as in after the first month or so) the originals already have their fanbases' formed.

Whether they "CAN" win or not, I think it's unfair that someone can get the first four weeks off, come in late and still win the prize money. Eight weeks is a lot easier than twelve weeks.

On another note, adding three new females just because the public votes out loud female characters early is sexist. If the next three evictees are Dale, Stuart, and Rex are the BB Producers going to send in a bunch of "sexy guys" to fill that shallow "hunk" void?

I think for newbies, it all changed in BB6. Usually they were nominated and evicted as soon as possible. But with Eugene, Kinda and Orlaith they all survived against original housemates and took out some big characters.

Orlaith managed to survive against two popular original males, Science and Kemal. Despite being in the house less then 24hrs - Kinga survived being nominated and survived over original male Craig in an eviction. And Eugene survived against Vanessa, Craig, Derek and Makosi! ... even is he did have no personality.

The final of BB8 was made of four newcomers (Brian, Ziggy, Liam, Jonty) and only two original females (Carole, Twins). It really does not matter when you enter anymore - if the public like you, you will survive.

Brian was a newcommer last year and he won. Yes he came in shortly after launch but the launch wasn't that long ago, there's still ages to go yet, so Stuart, Sara, Maysoon and Belinda still have a chance of winning. Even though I want Kathreya to win.

If you aren't the newest newcomer you have a shot. For instance, I think Aisleyne had a shot once Susie came in, Brian and all of the males that entered in BB8 had a shot after that halfway house BS. Once an even newer person comes you aren't really thought of the new kid in town anymore.

All it takes is the right personality. If it's fillers like halfway house or house next door, no chance in hell. Brian, Eugene, Orlaith, Aisleyne....all finished well as intruders.
