Default £1m tip for Rex\'s pukka tukka!

CHEF Rex Newmark has helped cook up a nice bit of dough for his dad’s restaurants – nearly £1million!

The BB hunk has regularly plugged the Beach Blanket Babylon chain owned by dad Robert on the show in chats with fellow housemates.

And the free TV ads have meant the restaurants – in London’s trendy Notting Hill and Shoreditch – have been really busy during the series.

A restaurant source said: “The places have been packed out every night almost from day one.

“Rex has created a big buzz about the restaurants and they have pulled in at least a million.

“Things are going to get even better. It’s been great publicity for the family business.”

Rex, 24, is also set to become a celebrity chef with a show on E4 after leaving the house.

TV chiefs reckon he could be the next Jamie Oliver. His brother Dexter, 20, admitted that Big Brother had been good for business, especially at Beach Blanket Babylon in Notting Hill, where Rex is executive chef.

But it’s the chance of showing off his culinary skills on his own TV show that has got the family really excited.

He added: “All the offers have been going through my dad and there has been some talk about him having his own cooking show.

“But we’ll have to see what happens when Rex gets out of the house. He’d definitely jump at the chance of doing more TV.

“We’ve seen quite a few more people coming into Blanket so it seems he’s already having quite an impact. He’s got a lot of support and we’d all love to see him win.”

Dexter also revealed that he was looking after Rex’s girlfriend Nicole Cammack.

He said: “Nicole is really missing Rex but luckily she’s got me at the moment. Obviously she wants Rex to go all the way, we both do but she’s finding it hard without him. It’s the longest they’ve ever been apart from each other.

“We’re all really proud of Rex. He’s someone who likes to keep his levels balanced. And I can tell that he’s really having to do all he can to stay calm in the house. He could have lost it on a number of occasions but he’s kept his cool.

“He’s not having the best time in there sadly and we all just want him to pick himself up and show everyone what he’s really like. But I guess that’s what being in the house does to you.”

Well at least his resturant is a winner if not Rex himself.

Glad buisness is doing well, its nice to see big brother can do something good rather than plaster people over OK magazine, nice for people with talent to get the recognition.

Agreed

Just hope he doesn't get too annoying like Nikki from BB7 with her spin off show.

If its anything like the reviews they've got then they won't be seeing those people who made them £1m again.

Just proves that he actually is part of a successful business that Luke and Bex etc like to deminish. Yes ok he didn't create the restaurants himself but surely he has some input into their businesses. Go Rex!
