I've not had it done... but my friend has. At first it feels like searing pain through your wrist, like lots of little needles sticking in but after the first few incisions it just feels like a numb pain.

By the way, consider future jobs before you get one - I know someone who got one, then took an accountancy degree and no IB firms will take her based purely on the tattoo LOL.

I want a tattoo but I cant because im an actor, its better to be a blank canvas in this career. If im doing a medieval piece and i have a tattoo of a bazooka or something its not going to work.

I did want the comedy/tragedy faces, with me and my mums signatures with our new names. Because we are both changing our last name to her maiden name. And it represents a contract of devoting my life to the theatre, and a new start with the names.

Ive gone into a lot of thought about it... but its probably better not too. The best tattoos to get are ones that will be hidden but you can easily show them... alot of jobs wont take you on if you have tattoos.

Same reason I didn't get a lip ring. =|

I don't know how much it hurts, but I'd love a star on my wrist. =)

I would imagine it is the same as getting one anywhere else.

I have one on my foot and that hurt like hell!! my daughter has one on her wrist and said it was not as bad as the one on her back so who really knows. I suppose it will depend on your pain threshold really.

It goes upwards rather than wide, so unless she has a rather thick watch

I could never have a tattoo on my wrist. The pain would be unbearable. I don't understand how some people can have tattoo's all over their body, I can't imagine how much pain they would go through just for a tattoo.

I have reall skinny little arms so I was preparing myself for excrutiating pain when I went for my wrist tattoo... I dnt know if it is because I had prepared myself for all this pain or what.. but it really wasnt that bad.. It was a wee bit sore to begin woth then you get used to the sensation..

I love tattoos I have 3, one on my wrist, lower back and the back of my neck

I want one from my shoulder right down to my elbow, kind of tribal pattern. One problem- I get bored easily. Recently I was a bit drunk and a friend is training to be a body artist so I let her do something on my leg. I liked it for about 2 weeks then I paid to get it lasered off because I got sick of it.

I have three tattoos on my back so far and i didnt think it was sore at all and next month i am getting one down the back of my neck and down the top of my spine.

Ugh. I'd never get a tattoo. There is no point because you will eventually get sick of it and it will be there forever. Imagine when you're all old and wrinkly and your covered in tattoos.
