Default Expert Warns of More Violence in Big Brother House

A leading criminologist who resigned from Big Brother last week has warned that more violence could be imminent in the house.

Professor of Criminology David Wilson quit as a consultant after he claimed producers ignored his predictions that violence would erupt if housemates Michelle and Emma were brought back in from the secret bedsit.

Prof Wilson, who has worked with notorious prisoners such as Charles Bronson and serial killer Dennis Nilsen, believes a repeat of the disturbances is inevitable.

Police were brought in after Emma and Victor threw plates at each other, Jason and Marco squared up and Nadia and Vanessa had to be separated by security guards.

The professor walked out after his plea for contestants to be split apart were not heeded.

He told The Sun: “When I realised that advice hadn’t been listened to, I thought I should go. Here is a show where people have been given alcohol and clearly are falling out with and trying to assault each other.

“The house is a constricted pressure cooker with some very extreme psychological profiles. I told producers they were deliberately creating situations where there will be disruption and violence.

“The housemates are extreme types who are conflict-orientated. The problem is there’s no place to hide from each other. Even the toilet door is see-through. I told producers, ‘This is dangerous’.”

He added that he wanted this week’s eviction nominee Dan to stay in the house because of his calming influence.

The producers have withheld alcohol from the housemates since the debacle of last Friday night. It appears to have calmed the atmosphere with housemates heading to bed early most nights since the bust-up and stormy arguments being reduced to light bickering.
