Default What\'s your top 5 favourite films of all time, and why?

What are your five favorite movies of all time, and why?

Mine are:
5. Wayne's World - Hilarious! I think it's Mike Myers' (and Dana Carvey's) best film. The references, the 90's style, just everything about it is hilarious!
4. Se7en - An amazing suspense film. It's very creative and Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt, and Kevin Spacey are amazing in it.
3. The Truman Show - Jim Carrey's 2nd best movie. I love the town where the external shots were filmed (in Florida), and it's a hilarious Big Brother-styled movie.
2. Battle Royale - What a strange concept, 42 kids to kill each other until 1's left. Not only does it have those chicks from One Missed Call, it has Gogo from Kill Bill!
1. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - The soundtrack is amazing, the acting is amazing, and it's amazingly sad but amazingly beautiful. I love this movie!

So what are your favourite movies?

The one problem I have with Rat Race is Smash Mouth, they would not go away in 2001! Other than that I think it's hilarious.

1. Halloween H20 - I love this movie, I love horrors and this has everything in a horror that I love. Also, Michael Myers probably the best horror killer out there imo.

2. The Lion King - My favourite cartoon movie. I love all the characters and I could sit for days watching this. I'm such a big kid, but a great movie.

3. Mean Girls - AMMMMMAZING movie. Lindsay Lohan is perfect in this and just the general idea, because that does happen in schools (more so American schools) great for a good laugh!

4. Nemo - I could watch this fim over and over. Such great characters and amazing songs. A good storyline and I just love it.

5. Titanic - The only film EVER to make me cry. Again, I could watch this for hours. It's so sad, but an amazing film. Worth watching if you're upset.

Mean Girls is hilarious. Tina Fey is a goddess. Everyone at my school, when that came out, was seriously relating it to our lives, I think it was quite funny.

5.Beauty and the Beast: It's Girly I know, vut it was the first Disney film I ever watched and I just think it's amazingly enchanting.

4. The Crow: It's an amazingly heart wrenching film, although not all out emotional. It's just amazing.

3. Battle Royale: Not many of you will know this film I don't think but it's an amazing film that has action and has a lot of deeper meanings.

2. The Lion King: I love this film so much, to this day i'm still traumatised by Mufasa's death! Still I love it so much! Mufassaaaaa!

1. Kill Bill: I'm slightly cheating on this one as there' two films but they are two parts really so I'm gonna say this. It's action packed, quite fun but it also has a heart which is evident in various parts of both films.

Picking between the top two was so difficult!

1. Toy Story
I love this movie. When I was younger, I could just watch it over and over all day. I lost it but bought it again on DVD recently. Pixar movies
2. Jurassic Park
Another one from when I was kid that just kinda stuck with me. I love it.
3. A Bug's Life
Another Pixar masterpiece that I love. I used to have all the characters and a giant playset.
4. Halloween
Not the remake or any of the crappy sequels, the original is the best.
5. E.T
Who doesn't love E.T?

1. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
I love this movie, so much action, adventure, comedy, romance all packed into one film, really good.
2. The Mummy Returns
Very long film but i love it, definetly the best in the series.
3. Cruel Intentions
A twisted story with so much manipulation, love it!
4. Halloween- The Remake
The remake was very good, much better death scenes than the original
5. Disturbia
Love the story of this film, the story is so suspenceful, very spine chilling.

1; Love Actually - perfect Christmas film - AMAZING cast, great storylines, really feel-good film, great soundtrack, comedy, love, sadness...everything. And great memories of Christmas watching it with friends

2; The Green Mile - really sad and moving story with some great gritty drama to boot.

3; Mrs. Doubtfire - Always makes me laugh and was my favourite film as a child. I love Robin Williams.

4; Mean Girls - Everyone quoted it when it came out, and some genuinely great comedy, plus the story is simple yet effective.

5; Cloverfield - Not normally a huge fan of the whole Godzilla-type films, but the camerawork and special effects in this just had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Could also have added:
Airplane
Naked Gun
Jumanji
The Shawshank Redemption
Batman: The Dark Knight
Zoolander
The Shining

Mannaquin! This has got to be the best film of all time, The young Kin Catrall is amazing in it, it has a great soundtrack and an amazing yet slightly cheesy storyline, But hey I like cheeeesssee!

Shawshank Redemption - An amazing film with an even more amazing cast and storyline. Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins have a great on screen partnership.

Dirty Dancing - Graet soundtrack, Great couple and a young Patrick Swayze Phwoooaarrr

Bridget Jones Diary - A great girly film, and its hilarious! And good for a bit of man hating!

Goodfellas - Once again an amaaazing soundtrack, And the film has one of the, if not the best actor in the world in it, Rober De Niro. Brilliant Mafia film.

Drop Dead Fred is incredible!!! Rik Mayall is just a genius haha.

In no particular order. It was hard enough choosing the top 5 in the first place but it changes all the time anyway.

1. Bridget Jones Diary - I hadn't watched it for the first few years it was out and whenever I told anyone they just gasped and found it unbelievable. When I finally watched it I thought it was just fantastic, absolutely hilarious and utterly romantic and made me think, hey, my life isn't so bad lol
2. Groundhog Day - I'm not really sure why, I saw this first when I was a kid and also found the idea fascinating and the movie was overall hilarious. Bill Murray is a genius.
3. Happy Gilmore - just for the simple fact its incredibly funny and I love Adam Sandler.
4. Holy Grail - I absolutely adore the Monty Python movies, its just so different to any other movie you'll see that's not by Monty Python and it never gets old. A classic and something British to be proud of.
5. Hot Shots! Part Deux - Made by the same people as Airplane and Naked Gun (I think!), possibly the funniest movie I've ever seen.
