I'm a huge hopeless romantic. I've been obsessed with 3 BB couples and trying hard not to get obsessed with a 4th! I adore a huge amount of fictional couples. I'm a total believer in soulmates and true love. Always have been. I just hope when I go out into the real world my beliefs don't get stomped all over and I end up heartbroken! I want the happily ever after so I hope it exists!

No, not really. I think you can fall in love with anyone once you find them attractive, get along etc, but what is keeping you with somebody is respect.

Love at first sight - No way. I think the term 'love at first sight' totally downplays the whole concept of love. To love someone is to want to share your whole life and existence with someone. If someone feels that when they look at someone... then they have issues.

Soulmates - Slightly. I believe there's quite a short number of people with whom you're perfectly matched to. That doesn't mean being exactly the same as them, but it means having the right number of similarities/differences, and the right amount of debate etc. If you find one of those people, I'd call that a 'soulmate'.

Fate - No, we make our own future.

But I do believe in undying love. Everyone is so cynical, assuming that all relationships will end, but no... love is a wonderful thing, and it exists.

Oh my god, cheesy moment.

Love actually... is all around

I don't believe in love at first sight, cos that would just mean that you loved them because of the way they looked. I think you need to get to know the person really well before you could fall in love, which is one of reasons i think long distance relationships don't work the majority of the time!

You can't actually "love at first sight" it has to be infatuation.
Real love comes with respect which is something that has to be developed over time and intimate knowledge of someone, not just how they look and how they kiss ect....

When I met my husband 26 years ago, I had a great 1st impression of him which is always a great start to any relaitionship, but despite being married now for almost 25 years both of us would agree that we were not a case of love at first sight.
Maybe thats why we've lasted so long and been so close having given that mutual feeling of love and respect a chance to grow properly.

I defo believe in fate. I think everyone has they're life planned out and that everything you do is just part of the plan and there is a reason. Love at first site and soulmates - I don't think so!

Always wanted to ask this of someone who believes in fate, and please dont think its a critisism, I'm simply curious as to how far you can take things, with having faith with fate.

For example does believing in fate make you do any study revising, or is an exam merely a matter of fate?

When walking in the street do you ignore all the highway code, looking for cars at junctions ect, or rely on fate?

When on a first date, do you need to shave, dress well, turn up on time, be pleasant, and courteous or do you relly on fate as to whether you'll gain a second date with the same person again.

Fate and everything happens for a reason even if its really insignificant like the position in which I put my remote when I'm not using it.

Fate is normaly something people chalk something bad up to to justify it. If you got a promotion, it would be because your kickass at your job, not because 'it was meant to happen'. Vice versa applies if something bad happens, such as a car carsh. Suddenly you were not a **** driver, it was 'meant to be'.

Love at first sight, soulmates and all that mumbo jumbo is also riddiculous. The mind is a huge emotional mahcine. When you get with somebody you really, really like your mind will convince you its a soulmate and you will except it without looking for the rational explanation.

Love at first site is total bullshit. I mean, how shallow could you be to actually believe in that?

I don't believe in all that, because two people who are totally opposite to eachother can fall in love and two people who are exactly the same may hate eachother.

Thats very true, I dated an outspoken actress once. Which is what I am but an actor, and we just did not get along one bit.
