Default Scratch cooking versus ready meals

Ready meals are usually stick in the oven / Microwave cook and eat

But do you know what goes in them?

I like to scratch cook from the raw ingredients.

When I make a bacon and lentil soup from scratch, I dod not even use a stock cube.

How many here prefer to scratch cook

Default

Scratch cook. I don't think I've ever had a proper ready meal in my life because of all the crap that goes into them and they still look horrible. I don't mind tinned stuff like soup or other processed things like battered meat/fish and, your example, stock cubes but I won't be seen dead buying a frozen ready meal you have to poke 50 holes in and stick it in the microwave for 10 minutes.
