Default Tired Irie: Unexpected you.

It is only a demo but I love this. A bit of a change in direction for the Leicester band who are on the cusp of making it big.

It is the first track on the player.

Well people obviously are not likening it or just not interested in it. Mark my words though. This time next year they will be at the same level of popularity as Foals.

Big enough to be playing above The Ting Tings at Reading this year.

Big enough to have done a live set for Radio 1's Colin Murray at the studios in Maida Vale for his radio show.

Big enough to be on a world tour taking in Europe, USA and the Far East.

So yes, quite big.

What do you think of the track?

I'm not doubting Foals are not successful, I'm just saying they're not as big as you're trying to make out. If they were then they would have a lot of success in the mainstream charts. Their highest charting single is #26 with their lowest at #109. Their album was #3 in the UK but it failed to chart higher than #28 around the world, with #99 being its worst.

Record labels use sales to measure success, everything else is just promotion.

"Record labels use sales to measure success,"

Not any more. Live is where the money is at.

If I was in a band and I had done as much as they have in just over 3 years, I would be bloody happy.
