Fantastic ? They must be joking right, it's slightly better than BB8 if not the same.
That's just a disaster, and quite a predictable one.

no its not the series average is only 0.3million down on last year, thats only due to the fact of having no Celeb BB in the winter

3.5 million viewers is HUGE for C4 in recent years, most of their programs now score around 2 million or so viewers so I bet they're happy with 3 Million or so viewers nightly.

These days viewing figures like that are great. Less people are watching TV then ever before. The 3.5m viewers represents 20.4% of the audience share between 10pm-11pm. Which means one in five people at that time were watching Big Brother.

You have to remember even show like Eastenders only has a audience of 5-6m these days during the summer!

BB8 Series average - 3.9 million
BB9 Series Average so far - 3.2 million
The 3.9million for BB8 is the final official series average
Is that 3.2 million average for BB9 the official or overnight average?
and also theres no point in comparing averages until the series is over

BB9 is actually a success in terms of ratings
After 3 bad series and 8 years I would expect ratings to be abit lower but they are are holding up well and consistently over 3million in a slot which doesn't get as good ratings
To see how well the show is doing we have to look more at how many 16-34's are watching the show, Big Brother is usually in the top 3 shows for the 16-34's which the advertisers pay more for.

I don't think you can even compare the viewing figures, you actually need to look at the audience share to take account of the shrinking TV audience.

all in all the show is doing pretty good the ratings are good for channel four and is still one of the most watched shows on channel 4. Those people who are saying the show is a disaster are wrong, it is a success.
