Omg.
Poor girl.

The man - who 'did not look like a nice person' - appeared to be speaking Portuguese but the woman spoke in English and told Ms Stam they had a small circus in France.

Its new to us but this isn't new... from what I can see it does not look like Maddie and I honestly believe if this could of been followed up it would of been, just because the public don't know doesn't mean nothing is happening if the public knew about this there would be chance that the kidnappers could of seen this and gone very far.

Its interesting to find this out... but I don't think they are any closer to finding her, they knew this a long time ago.

Although... there is a hint in that article that she could be working in a small circus... surely that was a big hint for the police.

Yeah- I know its not new but its new to us.

It happened like a few days after she was kidnapped.

The description the woman gave is exactly like Maddie. I think its definately her. To much of a coinicence not to be.

Miss Stam was at the back of the shop when the young girl approached her and asked in English without an accent: 'Do you know where my mummy is?'

The shop assistant answered that her mother was a little further back in the store but the child replied: 'She is not my mummy', adding:'She is a stranger, she took me from my mummy.'
Doesn't get any more clear than THAT now, does it!?

I'm surprised she didn't take any action, seriously. Probably just wanted to get her pay for the day.

The second CCTV image in Albufeira bears more of a resemblance to Madeleine than the first one.

Does anyone else think so?

I honestly don't think that sighting is her.
She had always been referred to as "Madeleine" by her parents, never Maddie. Maddie is just a name made up by the media to refer to her by - so why would she call herself something she's never been referred to by apart from in the media?

That could be what the people who took her have been calling her but you never know it could be her it might not be, a bit of a strange thing for a small child just to randomly say

If someone were to have taken her, they'd be "training" her to refer to herself as something else so as to not bring attention to her.

I think the kid had seen the news story on the TV and thought it'd be a good thing to say or pretend - without realising the consequences.

Yeh thats what I'm thinking, kids don't usually think about what they are doing. But thats probably why it wasn't raised in the media... because they knew it wasn't her.

but this conversation took place less then 2 weeks after she was kidnapped.i doubt this story was making headlines in Belguim and i doubt the media there where calling her Madie.
