Default Efron To Star In HSM4?

Quote:
Efron 'could be tempted by HSM4'

Zac Efron may star in the fourth movie in the High School Musical franchise if he is offered enough money, according to reports.

The actor recently revealed that he is looking for "dark or comedy" roles after filming High School Musical 3: Senior Year, saying: "I want people to see that I have grown up and moved on."

However, Life & Style reports that he would consider a fourth outing as Troy Bolton if the price is right.

A source said: "He’s thinking in the $8 million to $10 million range, but it depends on how the movie opens and how desperately they want him back."

Disney confirmed in April that a fourth High School Musical film is in the pipeline.

Oh for ****'s sake. Another one? However super-duper-happy-amazing the first three maybe, any hardcore fan must admit that there's no bloody scope for a fourth plot.

It's the American equivalent of HAPPY HAPPY HOW, HAPPY HOW, HAPPY HOW.

It's a lot more fun being miserable. Honest.

I love Zac to bits, and I know that they're changing the cast for the fourth film to the secondary characters in HSM3, but I hope Zac only has a guest role. I don't want him to be a main character again, and honestly, HSM should probably stop after HSM3.

I look forward to seeing Zac taking his career in the dark/comedy route [afterall, he's just finished shooting Seventeen, and is currently doing Me&Orson Welles, though he's apparently doing Footloose too]

I agree.

Why can't Disney just let it die?

No way? Another Shrek? But they've done practically everything an Ogre can do.

I know.

Why can't bosses realise that they're ruining the franchises by constantly releasing new sequels?

He pretends to die in 3. That's kinda Shrek's death there already.

They should combine all the exhausted sequels into one movie where everyone gets on a rocket to the surface of the sun.
