Default As Bad as everyone makes out?

Do you think BB4 is as Bad as everyone makes out?
Maybe it was because it was just after the highest rated series then the most "exciting" series followed after it that people feel its dull.

I remember wuite enjoying parts of it when it was on.

So do you think its as bad as everyone makes out?

No, people are not lying when they say series 4 was the worst.

It was just the wrong mixture of people.

Even the "twists" didn't help much.

By any standard that series was really bad. I think its even worse than people make out.

I can see what the producers were doing but they got completely the wrong mix and overall it was a disappointment.

Anouska would have been the star of that show (well along with Jon Tickle of course) had she stayed but sadly she was the first to go (but saying that if she had stayed then Jon would have gone). Although it was not a great series it was probably the last BB before the start of the freak shows.

Likeable Hms that did nothing all day (sleep mostly), the tasks were okay, but also the design was bad.

It was a promising start on launch night with live shock nominations but Anouska went in the 1st week, and it went down from there.

It was extremely boring.

I watched the whole series from launch to final and I can't remember anything interesting ever happening. The bomb scare was probably the most memorable thing that happened. (It goes to show that BB4 was so boring some of the viewers wanted to blow the housemates up)

The best housemates all went first. Annouska was a potential winner for me yet she was first out the door. Ridiculous. Saying that she was against Jon Tickle who was a great housemate but he didn't last long.

The trouble was the house had half decent housemates and half poor housemates (poor as in utterly dull). The dull ones voted out the loud ones so not even half way into the show and it was already like a mogue. I think the producers were trying to emulate the success of BB2 but it didnt work.

It was a bad selection of house mates and it was the failure of BB4 that sadly began a new era of BB becoming a freak show of exhabitionists and celeb wannabes ensuring the show of a selection of people who had the ability to be entertaining but for all the wrong reasons.

At the time I liked it and if I had to chose which BB I would most like to have been in, it would be BB4 because they all seemed like genuine nice people and they all seemed to have a nice time. BB obviously expected fireworks - but it never happened.

Agreed

Sadly BB10 appears to be heading the same way in terms that all the bores are nominating the interesting ones against each other.

I haven't seen any of BB 10 (apart from a brief moment on the first night) and nor do I wish to. They are nothing more then circus freaks and clowns performing in the hope of rewards after their evictions. Winning Big Brother means little or nothing, it's about staying in the game as long as possible to increase their earning potential and 15 minutes of fame.

And just to add a bit more to what I said about BB 4 because although I was very critical it did have the potential to being a good series. What concerned me at the time was how much the housemates actions were being effected by the extremely loud booing crowd at eviction time (back then you could hear it more clearly in the house). It seemed every time the doors closed after an eviction housemates would rush over with their ears firmly pressed to the door and shocked and startled expressions saying "they're booing! They're booing! Oh my God! Oh my God! Why are they doing this? etc" They had become paranoid of the perception of them by the outside world and seemingly petrified of the reaction the crowd after their own evictions. I do think this continual loud booing effected their behaviour.

I was posting on this very board at the time the series was on TV that the booing was ruining the show and that by failing to do anything about it Davina McCall had showed she was out of her depth as a host and presenter. I don't honestly understand why people are so in love with the woman. Not that I have anything against her personally, I was watching her present a late night programme called God's Gift when a lot of people posting on here weren't even born. She was good on that and I thought she had potential. But in my view she has contributed to this show's demise.
